Wool Yarn
Wool Yarn is a textile intermediate in Starsand Island produced at the Spinning Wheel from raw Wool. It is one of several distinct outputs the Spinning Wheel produces and feeds into Sewing Table clothing recipes that specifically call for spun yarn rather than raw wool.

Where Wool Yarn Sits in the Spinning Wheel Outputs
The Spinning Wheel produces several distinct intermediate textiles. Wool Yarn is the wool-spun output, separate from the fiber-derived outputs:

Wool Sources
Raw Wool is harvested from sheep at your ranch. There are two Common sheep variants and several colored variants accessible through the Selective Breeding House mechanics:
Snowool. Snowool produces white wool by default. Purchasable from Pastelle at Green Pasture Ranch for 650 Coins (Intermediate Rancher tier).
Ebowool. Ebowool produces black wool by default. Purchasable from Pastelle for 650 Coins.
Colored variants. Six colored sheep (Blue, Cyan, Green, Orange, Purple, Red, Yellow) produce matching colored wool through breeding.
Tips
Build the Auto Shearer. The Auto Shearer (Expert Rancher blueprint, 15,000 Coins) automates daily wool collection.
Stockpile colored wool deliberately. Specific clothing recipes call for particular wool colors. Plan sheep breeding around the colors you want before spinning surplus into yarn.
Spin only what you need. Raw Wool can also feed directly into the Loom for fabrics like Velvet. Spin only the portion needed for yarn-specific recipes; reserve the rest for the Loom.
Pair Spinning Wheel and Loom. Both the Spinning Wheel and the Loom run on Worktable I tier and can be set up early. Build them side by side to streamline textile production.
