Azure Bay
Azure Bay is the sixth zone in the Moonlit Forest progression, characterized by its golden bubble waterfall and bioluminescent water features. It is reached after defeating the Crystalith boss and passing through Crystalith Hideout. The zone sits between Crystalith Hideout and Mural Valley and contains a second encounter with the Luminfrog, multiple treasure chests, and resources not found earlier in the forest.
Moonlit Forest Progression
Azure Bay is the sixth zone in the Moonlit Forest's linear progression. The full zone order is:
Crystalith Boss Arena
Azure Bay
Glintortle Boss Arena
Ruin Guard Boss Arena
How to Reach Azure Bay
To reach Azure Bay, players must:
Craft a Slingshot (blueprint given by Zephyria at the Exploration Club)
Break through the Damaged Door behind the player's home
Enter the Moonlit Forest portal
Progress through Evernight Forest, Gate of Life, and Dreamfall Garden
Defeat the Crystalith boss
Continue up the main path through Crystalith Hideout
Layout and Paths
From the Azure Bay campsite, two paths branch off.
Area | Details |
|---|---|
Straight ahead | leads to a clearing with a second Luminfrog enemy encounter |
Left, up stone stairs | leads to Mural Valley and the Glintortle boss fight |
The Bubble Bridge
A series of floating golden bubbles form stepping stones across a gap above the waterfall area. These bubbles appear after the Crystalith boss is defeated. Players jump between the bubbles to cross. The timing is forgiving, but falling means restarting from the near side. An alternative path exists where you can walk closer to where the water is falling.
Floating bubbles above the bridge can be shot with your Slingshot to drop treasure chests. One of these contains the Floral Pattern Rug Blueprint.
The Elevator
An elevator near the waterfall area provides access to a lower level beneath the bubble bridge. At the bottom is a round wooden chest containing the Left Ruins Key and other materials. The Left Ruins Key is needed (along with the Right Ruins Key from Zephyria) to open the Bronze Gate in Mural Valley, which leads to the Glintortle boss fight. The elevator can be used to return to the upper level after looting.
Second Luminfrog Encounter
Azure Bay contains a second Luminfrog encounter. This fight is mechanically identical to the first Luminfrog in Dreamfall Garden: the frog-like enemy attacks with water projectiles and takes approximately 5 slingshot hits to defeat. By this point, players should be comfortable with the Luminfrog's patterns from the earlier fight.
This encounter does not gate any major quest progression. It serves as a combat checkpoint that tests whether players have improved since the Dreamfall Garden Luminfrog.
Resources
Azure Bay has a wider variety of resources compared to earlier Moonlit Forest zones.
Ores and Minerals
Resource | Notes |
|---|---|
Copper | Standard mining node |
Tin | Standard mining node |
Fluorite | Used for Moonweaver repair |
Primorite | Higher-tier material |
Quartz | Found in crystalline deposits |
Stone | Common drops from all rock nodes |
Common Ore Chunk | Random ore drops |
Uncommon Ore Chunk | Rarer random ore drops |
Gold Ore deposits are found on a hill between Azure Bay and Mural Valley, accessible by walking toward Mural Valley and climbing a ramp along the right side of the wall. The veins are scattered around three tall stones.
Plants and Mushrooms
Resource | Notes |
|---|---|
Blue Hydrangea | Rare flower, grows near the waterfall |
Light Blue Hydrangea | Found alongside Blue Hydrangeas |
Moonflower (+ Seeds) | Rare flower found throughout the zone |
Moondew Shroom (+ Spores) | Glowing mushroom, harvestable |
Sunveil Shroom (+ Spores) | Found on cave walls |
Mirthshroom (+ Spores) | Found in damp areas |

Wood
Wood | Details |
|---|---|
Hardwood | drops from larger trees |

Fiber | gathered from bushes and vines |
Insects
Several insect species spawn in the Azure Bay zone. Use a Bug Net to catch them.
Bug | Notes |
|---|---|
Blue Firefly | Common in bioluminescent areas |
Green Firefly | Found near water features |
Red Firefly | Less common firefly variant |
Celeb Moth | Spawns in darker sections of the zone |
Luminwing Butterfly | Active near glowing plants |
Lower Waterfall Area
Below the bubble bridge, the lower waterfall area contains additional resources not found on the upper level.
Feature | Details |
|---|---|
Sleep Lilies | three varieties (Red, Yellow, Blue) with harvestable seeds |
Coal Ore | mining nodes along the lower walls |
Lotus Leaves | can be picked up from the river surface |
Near a large glowing mushroom in this area, a fairy ring of different-colored Sleep Lilies can be harvested to reveal a hidden surprise.
Campsite and Moonweaver
A full campsite in Azure Bay includes a tent for sleeping, a campfire for cooking, and a worktable for crafting. A damaged Moonweaver crystal nearby can be repaired with 5 Fluorite. Once repaired, the Moonweaver activates fast travel, allowing teleportation between any repaired Moonweaver in the Moonlit Forest and the home portal on the surface.
Repairing the Moonweaver before pushing deeper is strongly recommended. The Glintortle boss ahead in Mural Valley is one of the toughest fights in the forest, and having a nearby respawn point saves significant backtracking.
Treasure Chests
At least seven treasure chests are scattered throughout Azure Bay.

Quests
The main quest involvement in Azure Bay is the Intermediate Explorer certification questline from Zephyria. This quest sends players to find both Ruins Keys (Left and Right) to open the Bronze Gate in Mural Valley.
The Left Ruins Key is found in the round wooden chest at the bottom of the elevator in Azure Bay
The Right Ruins Key is given by Zephyria after completing the Intermediate Explorer quest requirements
Both keys open the Bronze Gate which leads to the Glintortle boss fight in Mural Valley
Tips
Mine all ore deposits thoroughly. The Copper, Tin, and Primorite here are needed for mid-tier crafting recipes.
The Gold Ore hill between Azure Bay and Mural Valley is easy to miss. After leaving camp toward the stairs, look for a ramp along the right wall.
The second Luminfrog fight is easier than the first because you already know the patterns. Use it as practice for the tougher fights ahead.
Collect Blue Hydrangeas and Moonflowers. These are useful for cross-breeding flowers and as gifts for NPCs.
Repair the Moonweaver before moving on to Mural Valley. The Glintortle boss is a significant difficulty spike.
Shoot floating bubbles above the bridge with your Slingshot. One drops a chest containing the Floral Pattern Rug Blueprint.
Do not skip the elevator. The Left Ruins Key at the bottom is required to open the Bronze Gate later.
