Important: These tasks are purely cosmetic. Selecting a task does not contribute to skill gains, career advancement, or any gameplay mechanic. The promotion bar fills automatically over time based on attendance alone. The tasks exist for role-playing flavor to make the rabbit hole experience more immersive, but choosing or ignoring them has no effect on your Zoi's career progression.
Promotion Mechanics
Promotions in the University Professor career work the same as all rabbit hole careers: the progression bar fills gradually during work hours and triggers a promotion when it reaches 100%.
Attendance is everything: Show up on time every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Stay for the full shift until 3:00 PM. Missing shifts or leaving early pauses or reduces progression.
Three absences means termination: Three unexcused absences result in being fired, same as all careers in inZOI.
No skill acceleration: Unlike some careers where specific skills speed up advancement, no skill, mood, or trait affects professor promotion speed.
Slow progression: With only three short shifts per week, expect roughly four weeks of in-game time per promotion. This is slower than active careers where completing visible tasks directly fills the promotion bar.
Needs still matter: Keep your Zoi's needs satisfied before heading to work. While there are no visible tasks, arriving in good condition ensures steady progression.
