Overview
The Architect Career is one of six new active careers introduced in the v0.8.0 update on April 29, 2026. Architects design floor plans and structural concepts at architecture firm desks, with tasks rooted in Build Mode sketches and on-paper drafting. The career is available in Dowon and Bliss Bay.
As with the other new v0.8.0 careers, the hiring path is interview-then-impress: apply through the Career app, attend a scheduled interview, and impress the interviewer to be accepted.
How to Apply
Open the Smartphone (P) and navigate to the Career app.
Filter by Dowon or Bliss Bay and select Architect.
Tap Apply, then schedule an interview slot.
Attend the interview and impress the hiring manager to be accepted.
The first shift slots into the daily schedule automatically.

Daily Tasks
Sketch new floor plans at a drafting desk.

The Architect's daily flow connects to Build Mode thematically: success at the desk is faster for Zois who already have building intuition. Practising Home Building Guide outside of work also helps.

Performance and Promotion
Daily performance evaluation drives promotion. Submitted designs, attendance, and team-project contribution feed the evaluation gauge. Termination can result from chronic absence or low evaluation scores. Long-tenure architects can retire under the v0.8.0 retirement system, triggering a retirement party and severance.
Leave and Remote Work
Paid leave: registerable through the home computer.
Sick leave: tied to needs failure.
Remote work: drafting tasks can be performed from home; client meetings still require attendance at the firm.
Team Projects
Architects collaborate on four-day team projects with shared design briefs. Contribution is graded individually based on assigned task ownership and final design quality.

Practice in Build Mode before applying. The interview tasks lean on building intuition that is hard to fake at level 0.
Pair the career with a Build Mode-related freelance license once those expansions arrive; design work fits the v0.8.0 Creative freelance category cleanly.
Use remote-work days for solo drafting and save in-person days for client reviews.
