Overview
K-pop and performance content is a growing feature set in inZOI that spans an existing career path and a major planned expansion. The Idol Trainee career at Adam Entertainment is already playable in Dowon, letting Young Adult Zois train as K-pop idols through daily dance, vocal, and fitness sessions. The Q2 2026 Roadmap expands on this foundation with dedicated performance stages, K-pop styling options, new dance motions, and superstar events.
Idol Trainee Career
The Idol Trainee career is a full-time active career at Adam Entertainment, exclusive to Dowon. It is one of the most demanding careers in the game, requiring five days of work per week with long shifts and multiple time-sensitive tasks. The career has three ranks, and progression ends at Senior Trainee. There is currently no promotion beyond Senior Trainee to become a full idol; this is expected to be addressed in future updates.

Career Details
Detail | Info |
|---|---|
Employer | |
City | Dowon (exclusive) |
Job Type | Full-Time, Active |
Schedule | 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM |
Days per Week | 5 (weekdays only) |
Age Requirement | Young Adult only |
Household Limit | 3 Zois can hold this career |
Important: The Idol Trainee career is restricted to the Young Adult life stage. When your Zoi ages into an Adult, they are automatically removed from the career. Plan your Zoi's career timeline accordingly and consider transitioning to another career before aging out.
Rank Progression
Rank | Salary (Meow) | Promotion Requirement |
|---|---|---|
Rookie Trainee | 136 | Complete daily tasks consistently across multiple shifts |
Junior Trainee | 400 | Complete daily tasks consistently; prioritize vocal practice |
Senior Trainee | 600 | Final rank; no further promotion available |
The salary jumps significantly at each promotion. Rookie Trainees earn just 136 Meow per shift, making it one of the lowest-paying starting positions in the game. By Senior Trainee, pay rises to 600 Meow, though this is still below many other full-time careers given the five-day schedule.
Rookie Trainee Tasks
The Rookie Trainee shift is split into morning and afternoon blocks, each with three tasks that must be completed within strict time windows.
Task | Location | Quantity | Window |
|---|---|---|---|
Change into practice clothes | Wardrobe | 1 | Morning (3 hrs) |
Morning dance training | Practice room mirror | 3 sessions | Morning (3 hrs) |
Vocal practice | Microphone in studio | 3 sessions | Morning (3 hrs) |
Fitness room workouts | Fitness equipment | 3 reps | Afternoon (5 hrs) |
Afternoon dance training | Practice room mirror | 3 sessions | Afternoon (5 hrs) |
Study producing | Computer in studio | 20 minutes | Afternoon (5 hrs) |
Junior Trainee Tasks
Junior Trainees face a harder workload with additional language study and increased dance requirements. Completing all tasks is critical at this rank because aging can terminate the career before promotion.
Task | Location | Quantity | Window |
|---|---|---|---|
Change into practice attire | Wardrobe | 1 | Morning (3 hrs) |
Study music production | Computer | 20 minutes | Morning (3 hrs) |
Fitness exercises | Fitness equipment | 5 reps | Morning (3 hrs) |
Vocal practice | Microphone | 3 sessions | Afternoon (5 hrs) |
Dance instruction | Practice room mirror | 5 sessions | Afternoon (5 hrs) |
Study foreign languages | Computer | 20 minutes | Afternoon (5 hrs) |
Senior Trainee Tasks
Senior Trainees perform similar tasks with the addition of recording review. Since this is the final rank, there is no pressure to complete every task for promotion purposes, though doing so still earns full pay.
Task | Location | Quantity | Window |
|---|---|---|---|
Change into stage costume | Wardrobe | 1 | Morning (3 hrs) |
Study languages | Computer | 20 minutes | Morning (3 hrs) |
Fitness exercises | Fitness equipment | 5 reps | Morning (3 hrs) |
Vocal practice | Microphone | 3 sessions | Afternoon (5 hrs) |
Dance training | Practice room mirror | 5 sessions | Afternoon (5 hrs) |
Check recording | Computer | 20 minutes | Afternoon (5 hrs) |
Recommended Traits and Skills
The following traits and skills complement the Idol Trainee career:
Trait / Skill | Benefit |
|---|---|
Entertainer (trait) | Natural fit for performance tasks; boosts related skill gains |
Go-Getter (trait) | Helps complete demanding daily task lists consistently |
Performance (skill) | Primary skill developed through vocal practice |
Fitness (skill) | Trained during workout tasks; improves physical stamina |
Charm (skill) | Useful for idol image and social interactions |
Being in an Amused or Confident emotional state helps your Zoi level up skills faster during training sessions. Maintaining positive Karma is also important since an idol's public image matters.
Career Tips
Tip | Details |
|---|---|
Prioritize vocal practice. | Singing sessions take the longest and are the most common cause of failed task deadlines. Start with vocals early in each shift block. |
Choose easy fitness exercises. | Dumbbells and lat pulldowns are faster to complete than treadmills. Pick equipment that finishes quickly to save time for other tasks. |
Save computer tasks for last. | Studying production, languages, and checking recordings auto-continue once started. Queue them at the end of a shift block so your Zoi finishes without supervision. |
Never fail tasks at Rookie or Junior rank. | Failed tasks slow promotion progress and risk termination. Save your game before shifts and reload if tasks expire. |
Watch your Zoi's age. | Since the career ends at the Adult life stage, plan transitions carefully. If your Zoi is close to aging up, consider switching careers before losing the position involuntarily. |
