Corporate and Finance Careers

Corporate and Finance is one of the Career categories in inZOI, offering white-collar office positions at two different companies across Dowon and Bliss Bay. These are rabbit hole careers, meaning the Zoi leaves home and disappears off-screen during work hours rather than performing visible tasks at the workplace. Corporate and Finance careers provide middle-to-high salary progression and follow the standard three-tier promotion ladder shared by most careers in the game.

Workplaces

Two employers offer Corporate and Finance positions, one in each city:

Both workplaces function identically in terms of game mechanics. The only differences are the city location, the position titles, and the specific work schedule.

Positions and Salaries

Each workplace has three positions arranged in a promotion hierarchy. Salaries are listed in Mung (M), the in-game currency. Position limits determine how many Zois can hold each rank at a given time across the entire city.

Aramir Group (Dowon)

Work schedule: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (3 days per week).

Plutus Financial (Bliss Bay)

Work schedule: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (3 days per week).

How to Apply

To apply for a Corporate and Finance position:

1. Open the Smartphone by pressing P or clicking the phone icon

2. Navigate to the Career app

3. Select the Recruitment tab to browse open positions

4. Choose a Corporate/Finance listing and submit the application

5. Wait for a confirmation text; if accepted, the Zoi starts on their next scheduled work day

There are no skill requirements to apply for entry-level Corporate and Finance positions. The only requirement is that the Zoi must be at least a Young Adult (approximately age 20.5 in-game). Teens and children cannot work. Zois can also apply in person by visiting the workplace building and interacting with the reception area.

Promotion Mechanics

Promotions in Corporate and Finance careers follow the same system used by all rabbit hole careers in inZOI. Each position has a career progress bar that fills through regular work attendance.

If all slots at the next rank are occupied, the Zoi's career bar remains full but they cannot advance until someone above them quits, retires, or is terminated. This can create bottlenecks, especially at the Director/Portfolio Manager level where only one slot exists.

Career Opportunity Cards

The v0.4.0 update (October 30, 2025) introduced 144 career opportunity cards across all career paths. These are random events that pop up during or after work, presenting the Zoi with a choice. For Corporate and Finance careers, opportunity cards may involve decisions like handling a difficult client, managing a budget crisis, or navigating office politics. Each choice can affect the Zoi's mood, relationships with coworkers, or career progress bar speed.

Work Day Routine

Since Corporate and Finance careers are rabbit hole careers, Zois disappear from the game world during work hours. The routine follows this pattern:

1. The Zoi receives a reminder notification shortly before the shift starts

2. If the Zoi is at home, they automatically leave for work (or you can manually direct them)

3. The Zoi disappears from the world for the duration of the shift

4. At the end of the shift, the Zoi reappears at or near their workplace

5. Salary is deposited into the household funds after each completed work day

During work hours, the player cannot control the Zoi or see what they are doing. This is in contrast to Active Careers (such as Idol or Chef), where the player follows the Zoi to their workplace and can direct their tasks.

Attendance and Termination

Regular attendance is critical. Missing work counts as an unexcused absence. After 3 unexcused absences, the Zoi is automatically fired from their position. The absence counter resets when the Zoi successfully attends a work day.

Zois can also voluntarily quit their job at any time through the Career section of the Smartphone. Quitting resets any career progress, so the Zoi would start at the entry level if they reapply later.

Retirement

Zois are subject to mandatory retirement when they reach the Senior age stage. At this point, they are automatically removed from their career and can no longer hold a job. Retired Zois receive no pension or ongoing income. Households that depend on a single earner should plan financially for this transition, either by having savings, a second working household member, or passive income from Business ownership.

Corporate and Finance salaries fall in the middle range compared to other career paths in inZOI. The table below shows how top-tier salaries compare:

While not the highest-paying career path, Corporate and Finance offers a solid income with a relatively short work week (3 days). The Plutus Financial schedule (9 AM to 3 PM) is particularly favorable, giving Zois most of the day free for other activities.

Tips

• Plutus Financial has shorter hours: The Bliss Bay location ends work at 3 PM instead of 6 PM, giving your Zoi more free time each work day for skill building, socializing, or side activities

• Plan around vacancy bottlenecks: If the Director or Portfolio Manager slot is occupied, your Zoi may be stuck at the mid-level rank indefinitely. Consider having multiple Zois in different careers to spread the risk

• Avoid late arrivals: Zois who arrive late may still count as having attended, but the career bar gains less progress. Set alarms or queue the "Go to Work" action early

• Pair with Business ownership: Since Corporate careers only require 3 days per week, Zois have 4 free days to manage a Business for additional income

• Watch for opportunity cards: Career opportunity card choices can speed up or slow down promotion progress. Pay attention to the options and choose wisely
