Evolution Lines
October 24, 2026 at 08:29 PM
Add Fentuft-family evolution, encounter, build and move guidance from supported rendered text and completed controls.
Evolution is how most Aniimo grow. A creature moves up through as many as three published growth stages, changing appearance and gaining stats as it goes, and in a good number of cases the line splits so that one starting creature can end up as two or three completely different things.
The index sorts its 86 entries into 32 evolution lines plus two entries that stand alone. 16 of those lines branch, and three of the 32 are single-node lines with nothing to evolve into. That is a much larger share than the handful of branching lines that early coverage suggested, and it matters for planning: a branch point is a decision, and the creature you do not pick has to be caught and raised separately.
The official creature index was rebuilt for launch. As of September 27, 2026 it publishes 86 Basic Form entries numbered 001 to 082 plus 122 Form variants, 208 payloads in total, and most dex numbers moved by one or two places in the process. The individual line tables below use the rebuilt index's dex numbers, checked on September 27, 2026; the lines for a group of creatures documented during the 2026 closed beta period no longer exist in the index. Each creature’s own page carries its current number.
The launch index checked on September 17, 2026 left its evolution condition fields empty. Detailed family guidance below adds level, unlock and material requirements where those details are available.
Stage | Official Name | What It Means |
|---|---|---|
Stage 1 | Lumin Stage | The base creature. Almost every line starts here, and these are the entries most likely to carry a published habitat. |
Stage 2 | Gamma Stage | A middle form, and the most common stage in the rebuilt index. |
Stage 3 | Nova Stage | The final form. These usually have no habitat listed, which fits creatures that are raised rather than caught in the wild. |
Stage | Basic Form Entries | Average Attributes |
|---|---|---|
Lumin Stage | 31 | 431 |
Gamma Stage | 37 | 511 |
Nova Stage | 18 | 528 |
These lines split at least once. The rebuilt index counts 16 branching lines, two more than before launch. Branch points are marked in the tables below by two or more entries sharing the same stage under the same parent.

The Emberpup family has a level 12 step followed by a choice of two level 20 branches. The named unlocks and materials differ by branch.

The Highland and Mountain Woods branches add location requirements to the level 12 and level 20 steps. Their Scorchhowl evolution uses three Blaze Stones, compared with one for the Basic branch. The Mountain Woods branch also requires daytime.
