Helgon is No. 066 in the Aniimo index, a Wind creature that fights in the BREAK role. Covered in hard armor, they look like tall statues when they stand still, as if standing guard over ancient treasures.

Wild Aniimo are taken with Aniipods, and once caught this one can be raised, sent into battle, kept at The Homeland, or traded to another player. It belongs to the Jawling line, which grows through Helmwhelp and branches toward Helgon or Infergon, and one alternate Form has been published for it.

Where To Find It
Helgon is listed in 1 habitat. Which creatures actually appear also depends on weather, time of day, and local phenomena, so a listed habitat is where to look rather than a guarantee.

Trait
Every Aniimo carries a passive Trait that is always active while it fights alongside a Pathfinder.
Trait | Effect |
|---|---|
Counter Strike | After being attacked, increases BREAK efficiency by 25% for 10s. |
Traversal
The index grades three traversal capabilities, Climb, Fly and Swim, from level 1 to level 3. A Pathfinder inherits them by Twining with the creature, so Helgon is worth keeping for how it gets you across the map as well as for what it does in a fight.
Capability | Grade |
|---|---|
Fly | Level 2 |
Mobility
Mobility abilities are named actions used while Twined, separate from combat skills and graded traversal capabilities.
Ability | Effect |
|---|---|
Bilateral | Enters Bilateral mode to see a different perspective. |
Skills
The table lists available combat moves and the separate innate moves. Choose two compatible combat skills for the build. Power is the published damage figure and Cost is the resource required.
Skill | Type | Power | Cost | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Wind Tackle | Combat | 45 | 15 | Tackles and knocks back small-sized targets. Increases own damage reduction by 15% for 10s. |
Wind Counter | Combat | 69 | 20 | Enters a defensive stance, increasing damage reduction by 30% and immediately counterattacking. If attacked at the moment the skill is cast, additionally increases BREAK efficiency by 20% for 10s and stuns the target for 1.5s. |
Overcharged Claw Strike | Combat | 68 | 20 | Claws a target, dealing damage. |
Skyfall | Innate | 175 | 0 | Flies up and dives down to hit the ground, dealing huge amount of damage. |
ATK | Innate | 6 | 0 | (BREAK) Wields the power of wind to attack targets at close range. |
Encounters and the Basic evolution recipe
Form | Where to search |
|---|---|
Basic | Look for flying Helgon in Russet Highlands; some carry a Helmut in their claws. A regional Wild Surge is another encounter route through the current Nurture process. Also search the coast and roads west of the Russet Highlands label and the cliffs to its south. |
Mountain | Search above the Russet Highlands stone formations near groups of Jawling; approach the flying creature from the air. Look along the road north of the Russet Highlands label. |
Starting Aniimo | Result | Level | Materials | Unlock |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Basic Helmwhelp | Basic Helgon | 48 | 3 Gust Stones | Open 30 world chests cumulatively. |
The Mountain line also leads to Mountain Helgon. Check the required starting stage in the Evolution menu before spending materials on that branch.
BREAK build example
Form | Two combat skills | Ultimate | Personality emphasis | Held item |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Basic | Wind Counter; Overcharged Claw Strike | Skyfall | E and S; choose the remaining traits for the encounter. | Gargantuan Horn |
BREAK | REGEN | HP | P.DEF | M.DEF | ATK |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
5 | 5 | 3 | 2 | 2 | 1 |
The priority scale runs from 1 to 5, with 5 highest. BREAK and REGEN lead this setup: Helgon takes the field to remove the enemy's guard, then hands the opening to the damage dealer. Gargantuan Horn supports this BREAK-focused role.

Timing the counter and switching out
Prepare support and recovery effects, then switch to Helgon when the enemy's BREAK gauge needs attention.
Use Wind Counter as an attack is about to hit Helgon. Between enemy attacks, use Overcharged Claw Strike while managing EP.
Use Skyfall when its resource is available and doing so leaves enough for the party's damage and support plan.
Once the target breaks, switch to the damage dealer. Bring Helgon back when the BREAK gauge recovers.
A correctly timed Wind Counter grants the additional 20% BREAK efficiency for ten seconds and the 1.5-second stun listed in the skill table. Counter Strike separately grants 25% BREAK efficiency for ten seconds after Helgon is hit. These are separate effects; another teammate taking damage does not trigger Helgon's Trait.
The Wind Counter contract allows movement and other skills during the defensive stance. Consider whether that flexibility is useful for the encounter before investing in the contract.
Available moves and Homeland work
Form | Native combat choices | Separate innate moves | Homeland work |
|---|---|---|---|
Basic | Wind Counter; Wind Tackle; Overcharged Claw Strike | Skyfall; physical melee Wind attack | Hauling 3; Wind 3 |
Mountain | Wind Counter; Wind Tackle; Overcharged Claw Strike | Skyfall; physical melee Wind attack | Hauling 3; Wind 3 |
Choose two combat skills for an individual build. Wind Tackle remains an alternative for its defensive effect and small-target knockback. At the Homeland, Helgon can move goods and operate Wind facilities.
