Mobility
Mobility abilities are named actions used while Twined, separate from combat skills and graded traversal capabilities.

Forgotten Mine and the Alpha unlock
Alpha Minespine is in the Forgotten Mine beneath Beast Fang Ridge. Reach the Breezy Plains Branch's 120-Lumin-Amber Earthwake Revelation milestone to remove the roots blocking the route. Defeat the Alpha to unlock the evolution branch.
From the Beast Fang Ridge Bloom Stone, follow the downhill route west to the cave marked by glowing orange crystals.
Break the rock obstruction with a suitable rock-breaking action, or move explosive barrels beside it with Gravity Pull and ignite them with a Fire Aniimo.
Use Tunnel to pass the narrow opening, then follow the route to the arena.
Starting Aniimo | Result | Level | Materials | Condition |
|---|---|---|---|---|
38 | No material listed | Choose the Geodeback branch. | ||
Minespine | 48 | 3 Loam Stones | Defeat Alpha Minespine to unlock the branch. |
A defeated Alpha provides a catching route, while a level-48 Geodeback and three Loam Stones provide the evolution route after the Alpha unlock. Starting from Pebbling also requires the level-38 Geodeback evolution.

A burrowed BREAK turn
Apply support effects, then switch to Minespine and Tunnel.
Use Seismic Wave and Stone Shell while managing EP and stamina. Stay close enough for the wave to reach the target; Stone Shell can be used from farther away.
Surface for Meteors when its resource is available and an additional hit would help finish the BREAK gauge.
Switch to the damage dealer once the target breaks, or to recovery when the party needs EP.
Earth Affinity allows skill use while Tunneling and supplies the listed BREAK bonus. Ranged-attack immunity does not protect against every attack, and Pound skills can force Minespine out of the ground.
The Seismic Wave contract releases an additional shock wave when Minespine takes damage during the skill, with a one-second trigger interval. Its ordinary waves continue for the eight-second duration listed in the skill table.
Move alternatives and Homeland work
Native combat choices | Separate innate moves | Homeland work |
|---|---|---|
Seismic Wave; Earth Spikes; Stone Shell | Meteors; physical melee basic attack | Hauling 3; Earth 3 |
Choose two combat skills for the build. Earth Spikes is an alternative to Stone Shell when its line of spikes suits the encounter. Outside battle, Minespine can reclaim land, mine resources and haul goods.
