Overview
Crowcaller continues the "Black and White" arc of Chapter 5 in Crimson Desert. Unidentified assailants have raided the Axiom Archive and kidnapped White Crow. Alustin, despite being injured in the attack, begs Kliff to pursue the invaders. The quest takes you through Hernand Castle's upper floors and into the Abyss for the first time since Chapter 4.
Walkthrough
Head to Hernand
Fast travel back to Hernand town if you are not already there.
Speak with the Soldiers
Go to Hernand Castle's inner courtyard, near the church entrance where the Kearush boss fight took place. A group of soldiers is gathered there. Approaching them triggers a cutscene revealing that "ghosts are loose in the castle."
Track the Invader
Enter Hernand Castle and head upstairs. Turn right in the main hallway to find a staircase. Climb to the second floor and go through the wooden door on the left. You will find an Abyss Gate, a glowing yellow wall. Interact with it to teleport to the Abyss sky map. If the interaction prompt does not appear, try using the map's fast travel function instead.
Move to the Axiom Archive
You spawn on a floating island in the Abyss. Head forward toward the tall tower structure ahead. Enemies will appear along the path; defeat them as you go. When you reach the tower, a cutscene triggers and the quest completes.
Story Context
The "Crowcaller" is the feathered man who orchestrated the attack on the Axiom Archive. His identity and motives become clearer over the next several quests. The name refers to his connection with crows, which he appears to command. White Crow's abduction is the central thread that drives the rest of the Black and White arc through to Toward the Nest.
Tips
The Abyss Gate interaction can be finicky. Stand directly in front of the yellow wall and look for the prompt. If nothing appears, open your map and try the fast travel option.
The enemies in the Abyss section drop decent loot. Clear them rather than running past if you want to stock up.
