Black and White is the second quest arc of Chapter 5: Guest Unbidden in Crimson Desert. Spanning six quests, it follows Kliff's pursuit of the Crowcaller after the Axiom Archive is raided and White Crow is abducted. The arc takes players from Hernand into the Demeniss region, featuring multiple boss encounters, environmental puzzles, and a dramatic finale at the Spire of Soaring.
Following the revelations of the Uninvited Guest arc, tensions between Hernand and Demeniss have reached a breaking point. Alustin is injured during the Axiom Archive raid and pleads with Kliff to rescue White Crow. The pursuit leads deep into Demeniss territory, uncovering ancient secrets at the Church of West Demeniss and the Spire of Soaring.

The Crowcaller is fought twice during this arc. The first encounter takes place at the Church of West Demeniss during Bloodwind. He dissolves into black particles to close distance and uses fast melee combos. Use grappling skills to stagger him and whittle down his HP quickly.
The second and final encounter occurs at the Crescent Bridge atop the Spire of Soaring during Toward the Nest. He repeats similar attack patterns but with significantly more health. Learn the Aerial Roll technique during this fight, as it becomes essential for dodging his expanded moveset.
Secret at the Church requires solving a disk puzzle in the church cellar to form an Eye pattern, which activates the Pillar of Radiance. Toward the Nest features multiple power-flow puzzles involving circular blocks, sphere mechanisms, and pipe connections to activate the Skybridge. Watch out for Purple Flowers during the Skybridge section, as they inflict poison.

Grappling skills are the most effective tool against the Crowcaller in both encounters. Prioritize stagger damage.
In Secret at the Church, rotate the disk segments until the pattern forms a complete Eye shape. The Dagger of Radiance is in the cellar safe.
During the Spire of Soaring climb, direct laser beams to the orange glowing spots on each floor to unlock progress.
Purple Flowers near the Skybridge cause poison. Avoid standing near them while solving the sphere puzzles.
Completing this arc leads directly into Chapter 6: Cracks in the Shield.
