Overview
The Tauria Curved Sword is a one-handed sword in Crimson Desert with an Attack of 17 and an innate Attack Speed Lv. 1 bonus. It is one of the stronger one-handed swords available in the mid-game, and its curved blade design gives it a distinct visual identity compared to straight swords like the Glenmore Sword or Sydmon Sword.

The Tauria Curved Sword is earned as a reward for completing the quest Toward the Nest, part of the Chapter V: Guest Unbidden storyline. It also comes equipped with a Crow's Pursuit core in one of its Abyss Core slots, giving it a combat skill right out of the box.

How to Obtain
The Tauria Curved Sword is awarded upon completing the quest Toward the Nest, which is part of the Black and White quest chain in Chapter V: Guest Unbidden. This quest becomes available during the mid-game as the story progresses through Pywel's central regions.
Since it is a quest reward, the Tauria Curved Sword cannot be missed as long as you complete the associated storyline. It does not require crafting materials or a purchase, making it a free and significant weapon upgrade at the point in the game when it becomes available.
Crow's Pursuit Abyss Core
The Tauria Curved Sword comes with a Crow's Pursuit Abyss Core pre-installed in its first core slot. Crow's Pursuit is a combat skill that can be activated during melee sequences. The core can be swapped out through a regional witch if you prefer a different ability, but many players keep it installed since it complements the sword's fast attack rhythm.
Combat Notes
At an Attack of 17, the Tauria Curved Sword is the second-strongest one-handed sword documented so far, behind only the Wolf's Fang (Attack 18). The Attack Speed Lv. 1 bonus keeps its swing pace brisk, and the Crow's Pursuit core adds a special attack option that gives the weapon more versatility than a pure stat stick.
The curved blade design does not change the fundamental sword moveset, but players have noted that the visual sweep arcs feel slightly wider on horizontal slashes. Whether this translates to a marginally larger hitbox or is purely cosmetic has not been conclusively confirmed.
With two remaining open core slots after the pre-installed Crow's Pursuit, the Tauria Curved Sword has room for builds that stack critical hit chance, elemental damage, or defensive bonuses. Its high base Attack means it benefits strongly from percentage-based damage multipliers, making crit cores a particularly effective investment.
For players progressing through the mid-game chapters, the Tauria Curved Sword represents a meaningful step up from earlier weapons. Pairing it with a shield for parry-based defense or dual-wielding it with another fast weapon both work well given its speed and damage profile.
Refinement
Refinement up to level 10 is available at any Blacksmith. Given its already strong base Attack of 17, a fully refined Tauria Curved Sword can compete with late-game weapon options. Investing refinement materials here is a solid choice if the Toward the Nest quest falls at a natural point in your progression.
