Overview
Damiane is the fastest playable character in Crimson Desert, specializing in precision, speed, and a combat style that blends rapier fencing, firearms, and aerial magic. She becomes playable at the start of Chapter 3, after the End of Greed questline. Compared to Kliff, Damiane has a lower health pool and weaker blocking, but compensates with faster attacks, quick-step dodging, and the highest single-target damage output in the game.
Like all playable characters, Damiane's skills are organized into three color-coded trees based on the resource they consume: Stamina (blue), Spirit (green), and Health (red). Skills are unlocked and upgraded using Abyss Artifacts collected from quests, enemy encounters, and exploration. Stat upgrades (Health, Stamina, Spirit) made on Kliff's skill tree also apply to Damiane, though individual skill levels must be upgraded separately for each character.
Weapons
Damiane has access to four weapons, each serving a distinct role in her combat flow. Her starting weapons are the White Wind Rapier and the Absolute Justice Greatsword.
Weapon | Type | Role |
|---|---|---|
Claymore (Greatsword) | Primary Melee | Wide sweeping arcs for crowd control. 3-hit light combo with a 360-degree spinning slash finisher. Transitions seamlessly into rapier mid-combo. |
Rapier and Buckler | Precision Melee | Damiane's signature weapon. 5-hit rapid thrust combo targeting weak points for critical damage (30-40% bonus). The buckler enables a quick-step parry that is faster than any other character's parry window. |
Flintlock Pistol | Quick Ranged | Mid-combo tool that fires between melee attacks without breaking stride. Auto-targets the nearest enemy and applies a stagger effect. Limited to 3-4 shots before reload. |
Musket | Heavy Ranged | Single powerful shot that pierces light armor and staggers most enemies. Long reload time makes it purely an opener or finisher. |
Stamina Skills (Blue Tree)
The Stamina tree focuses on Damiane's weapon techniques, ranged options, and physical combat maneuvers. These skills consume Stamina on use.

Signature Techniques
Izuna Drop
One of Damiane's highest single-hit damage options. This aerial grab requires the target to be airborne or in a stagger state. Damiane inverts the enemy and pile-drives them into the ground, dealing approximately 250% of her normal rapier heavy attack damage. The impact creates an AoE shockwave that damages nearby enemies. Damiane has brief invincibility frames during the animation. The technique has roughly a 15-second cooldown and cannot be used on enemies with super armor.
Aerial Magic
A set of abilities unique to Damiane that no other character can perform. After launching into the air via jump attacks or the Propeller Gadget, Damiane can unleash magical projectiles downward at enemies. These aerial magic attacks bypass ground-based defenses and deal elemental damage based on her current element infusion.
Propeller Gadget
A handheld device that enables gliding from heights and brief true flight. The gadget provides height advantage for aerial magic attacks and allows unblockable dive attacks. It serves as a key tool for Damiane's aerial dominance playstyle.
Combat Tips
Use the rapier for bosses. Critical hits on weak points deal 30-40% bonus damage, significantly out-DPSing standard attacks during stagger windows.
Save the claymore for groups. Its wide sweeping arcs hit multiple enemies per swing, making it the better choice when surrounded.
Weave pistol shots into combos. The flintlock fires between melee attacks with zero time cost, adding free damage and stagger buildup.
Open fights with the musket. A single shot staggers most enemies, giving you a free window to close distance with the rapier.
Parry, don't block. The buckler drains stamina rapidly when blocking. The quick-step parry is faster and leads directly into counter-attacks.
Use spinning kicks to set up Izuna Drop. The high kick variant launches Damiane airborne, creating the opening for her most damaging finisher.
Height advantage wins fights. The propeller gadget enables unblockable overhead attacks and aerial magic that enemies cannot defend against.
Recommended Skill Priority
For players starting with Damiane, prioritize Keen Senses (for parry and counter), Armed Combat (for weapon combos), and Marksmanship (for ranged versatility). In the Spirit tree, Focus is useful for slowing time during tough encounters. Imbue Elements in the Health tree opens up elemental variants of existing skills. Flight and Skystep are worth picking up for exploration and aerial combat setups.
