Overview
The Absolute Justice Greatsword is a two-handed weapon in Crimson Desert. It is classified as a greatsword. It is the default starting weapon for Damianemeaning every player who picks up her questline begins with this blade already equipped. With 20 Attack Power, it sits at the top end of the two-handed weapon damage range and hits hard enough to stagger most common enemies in a single heavy swing.

Greatswords in Crimson Desert trade attack speed for raw damage output. Each swing carries real weight, and the Absolute Justice Greatsword is no exception. Its wide arcs make it effective against groups of enemies standing close together, though the slow recovery between swings leaves openings that faster opponents can exploit. Players who favor an aggressive, commitment-heavy playstyle will find this weapon rewarding from the moment they pick it up.

How to Obtain
The Absolute Justice Greatsword does not need to be found, purchased, or crafted. It is automatically equipped as Damiane's starting weapon when players begin her chapter of the story. There is no quest or unlock requirement; it simply appears in your inventory.
Because it arrives at base refinement level, players can immediately begin upgrading it through the refinement system to improve its damage output as they progress.
Refinement and Upgrading
The Absolute Justice Greatsword starts with a Refinement Capacity of 10/10, meaning it can be refined up to 10 times at a Blacksmith. Each refinement level increases its Attack Power incrementally.
For refinement levels 1 through 4, you need standard refinement materials gathered from the world or obtained by dismantling duplicate weapons. From refinement level 5 onward, you will also need Abyss Artifactswhich are the same items used to level up and earn skill points. This creates a trade-off between investing artifacts into weapon refinement versus character skill progression.
Given the greatsword's high base Attack Power of 20, investing refinement materials early pays off. Each level of refinement amplifies an already strong base, making the weapon competitive well into the mid-game and even late-game if fully refined.
Core Slots
The 5 Abyss Core slots on the Absolute Justice Greatsword provide solid customization potential. Cores are slotted items that add passive bonuses to your weapon.
Offensive cores: Slotting attack-boosting cores amplifies the greatsword's already strong base damage. This is the recommended approach for players who want to maximize per-hit output.
Defensive cores: Because greatsword users are vulnerable during slow swing recovery animations, defensive cores that boost health or damage resistance can offset this weakness.
Utility cores: Cores that improve stamina recovery or Spirit regeneration help sustain longer combat sequences where the greatsword's heavy swings drain resources quickly.
Combat Tips
The greatsword's sweeping horizontal attacks are its strongest asset. When facing a cluster of enemies, position yourself so the blade's arc catches multiple targets in a single swing. This is particularly useful during early encounters where Damiane faces groups of bandits or militia fighters.
Against single targets, especially bossesthe greatsword's slow recovery is a liability. After each heavy attack, there is a noticeable window where Damiane cannot dodge or block. Learn the timing of boss attack patterns and commit to your swings only when you know the boss is finishing its own combo. Trying to trade hits with a greatsword against aggressive bosses will get you killed.
Use Damiane's skills to complement the greatsword's moveset. Her skill tree includes abilities that synergize with slow, heavy weapons by providing stagger bonuses, hyper-armor frames, and area damage multipliers.
Comparison to Other Two-Handed Weapons
At 20 Attack Power, the Absolute Justice Greatsword is the hardest-hitting greatsword currently documented. The trade-off is straightforward: no secondary stat bonuses. Other two-handed weapons in categories such as longswords and spears may offer lower base damage but come with Critical Hit ChanceAttack Speedor Move Speed bonuses.
Whether raw damage or additional secondary stats matter more depends on your build and which cores you slot. For a pure damage build focused on staggering enemies and finishing fights in fewer hits, the Absolute Justice Greatsword is hard to beat. For builds that rely on speed or critical hit synergies, a weapon with secondary bonuses may outperform it despite lower base Attack Power.
