Oongka Fists is the unarmed combat skill category for Oongka in Crimson Desert, added in Patch 1.06.00 on May 10, 2026. The category is accessed through the Fists option in the skill menu and groups Oongka's punches, kicks, and unarmed finishers in a single tree.
Oongka Fists is the first unarmed skill category added to Crimson Desert, and the model used for the Damiane Fists addition one patch later.
Accessing the Category
Switch to Oongka in the playable-character menu.
Open the Skills menu.
Choose Fists from the weapon-category list.
The Fists tree opens with Oongka-specific unarmed skills.
Skill Coverage

Blinding Flash without a weapon. Oongka can fire Blinding Flash Finisher while unarmed, where the skill previously required an equipped weapon.
Roundhouse Kick chains. Roundhouse Kick now chains additional follow-up attacks for higher single-target damage.
Dual-wield chaining into Stab. Dual-wield combos chain into Stab from the Fists tree for a uniform finisher.
Aerial Stab. Patch 1.07.00 added Aerial Stab to Oongka, making the finisher available from the unarmed kit.
Explosive Strike charge phase. Patch 1.07.00 added a charge phase to Explosive Strike that further raises its impact.

Full Moveset Breakdown
Patch 1.07.00 expanded the Oongka Fists tree well beyond the initial 1.06 release. Most attacks below are inherited from the existing Stab, Spinning Slash, Turning Slash, and Heavy Combo inputs but with new unarmed-only behaviors that activate when the Fists category is selected from the two-handed weapon slot. Some upgrades require the underlying skill (such as Stab) to be fully ranked before the unarmed variant becomes accessible.
Selecting the Fists category disables Oongka's two-handed weapon for the duration. Many of the new moves chain into the regular Grappling tree, which is unaffected by the Fists selection and stays accessible at all times.
Charged Stab Family
Move | Trigger | Effect |
|---|---|---|
Charged Dash Stab | Hold the stab input while unarmed | Charges and sends Oongka flying toward the target. Requires the underlying Stab skill to be fully upgraded |
Forward Blast | Continue holding forward after the dash | Palm-blasts the enemy backward, accepts a winch grapple follow-up |
Smash and Pound | Continue holding the light attack button after the dash | Repeatedly slams the ground, launching the enemy upward. Chainable on stamina |
Upheaval | Hold a movement direction after the dash | Lifts the entire ground beneath the target to launch them airborne for a follow-up grapple or Axiom Force extension |
Smash to Grapple | Grapple button immediately after Smash and Pound | Grabs the airborne enemy and slams them back down for grappling combos |
Kick Branches
Move | Trigger | Effect |
|---|---|---|
Drop Kick | Hold the unarmed melee button | Updated as the entry point for the chained kick combo |
Spinning Air Kick | Jump, then unarmed melee button again | Mid-air spinning kick |
Drop Kick into Sweep | Hold melee button after the drop kick | Follows up with a leg sweep |
Stomp | Triangle (Y on Xbox) after sweep | Stomps the downed enemy as the chain ender |
Combo Branch | Continue with melee or grapple inputs after sweep | Free-form continuation into any other melee or grapple chain |
Sprinting Rolling Kick | Sprint, then unarmed melee button | Range and impact improved in 1.07. Axiom Force adds new follow-ups |
Counters and Knees
Move | Trigger | Effect |
|---|---|---|
Evasive Slash Counter | Evasive slash input while unarmed | Automatic counter, highly spammable. Stacks with Rage super armor |
King Knee-Kick Combo | Press and hold the spinning slash input | Series of wrestling-style knees that launch enemies. Invincibility frames during the animation make it usable as a counter or opener |
Charge-Wave Turning Slash
Holding the unarmed turning slash input now executes a charged forward motion. On release the move sends out a large shockwave attack with a wide forward sweep, then follows up with an enemy-launching ender. The wave is broader than the charged stab and useful as a mid-range crowd opener.
Four-Strike and Pulse Heavy Combo
The Gauntlet basic heavy attack combo has been reworked to flow as a more natural combo. Holding the heavy attack button near an enemy executes a four-strike chain that ends with a pulse attack launching the target.
Axiom Force grapple after the pulse extends the combo into a winch loop.
Turning slash into a chase into another pulse attack delivers a longer ender that re-launches the enemy for a second juggle.
Aerial Stab
Patch 1.07.00 added Aerial Stab to Oongka's unarmed kit. The skill sits at the end of the Stab upgrade chain. In mid-air, the same R1 plus Triangle input used by Kliff drops a downward stab. Aerial Stab can also be aimed upward for traversal, although Oongka's animation is bulkier than Kliff's lighter version.
Explosive Strike Charge Phase
Inside the unarmed kit, Explosive Strike now has up to three charge phases. After the cannon shot, holding the Triangle (Y on Xbox) input charges the explosion through each tier. Damage and blast radius scale exponentially with the charge level, at the cost of additional spirit per phase.
Hidden Tech
Jump-Cancel into Mid-Air Grapple. Pressing the jump button mid-combo transitions into an unlisted mid-air grapple grab that works on regular enemies and bosses.
Triple Choke Slam. Build space, press the grapple input while sprinting toward an enemy, then hold the jump button during the animation to chain three slams in a row.
Ambush Directional Influence. Inputting a movement direction during the ambush teleport changes the exit angle and lets Oongka attack in different directions or pick a different target.
Grounded Enemy Hits. Most unarmed attacks and skills now successfully register on lying enemies, a fix that closed a long-running gap in the unarmed combo loop after a knockdown.
Stab Dual-Wield Polish. Oongka's stab animation while dual-wielding was also tightened up in 1.07.
Combos Into Flame Quake Imbu
Many of the new chains end into the Flame Quake imbu skill, pressed by combining heavy attack and melee once the skill is unlocked in the tree. The Flame Quake hit produces a winch grapple prompt on connect, allowing the combo to be extended further.
