Overview

Bremer is a cattle ranch owner and NPC who lives at the Hernand Farmhouse, a farm located southeast of the City of Hernand. A humble farmer in the Hernand region, Bremer holds deep faith in Solumen, which shapes his outlook on life and his work on the ranch. He is a central figure in the Trial After Trial main quest during Chapter 2: Golden Greed, where his farmhouse is destroyed and his cattle are stolen by bandits.

Bremer's devotion to Solumen is one of his most defining characteristics. This reflects the religious traditions deeply embedded in the Hernand community. He maintains a modest, faith-driven lifestyle centered on raising cattle and working the land. His faith connects him to the broader spiritual culture represented by the Church of Solumen, and despite the hardships he faces, his belief remains a source of resilience.

Before the events of Chapter 2, Bremer was known locally as a reliable farmer who promised cattle to neighboring villagers. His ranch at the Hernand Farmhouse was a functioning operation until disaster struck in the form of a Sky Boulder, a mysterious explosive phenomenon that demolished his home.

Location

The Hernand Farmhouse is located southeast of the City of Hernand, northwest of Springtide Mill, and south of Muckroot Ranch. The farmhouse area includes several notable sub-locations:

• Livestock Fence (managed by Edmond)

• Back Alley Merchant (Grimrak's shop)

• Hernand Dryehouse (Theoric's vendor stall, located in the eastern section)

• A local Herbalist

The farmhouse area is an active agricultural settlement where multiple workers and farmers go about daily routines. Players can gather resources in the area including carrots, oakwood mushrooms, bread, dried fish, and jerky.

Quest Involvement

Trial After Trial (Main Quest)

Trial After Trial is one of four investigation quests that unlock during the "Hernand in Chaos" section of Chapter 2: Golden Greed. It becomes available after completing the "Where Misery Gathers" quest.

When Kliff arrives at the Hernand Farmhouse, Bremer is surrounded by angry villagers he had previously promised cattle to. His house has been "blasted to splinters" by a Sky Boulder, and in the chaos that followed, bandits raided the farm and stole all of his cattle. After the villagers leave, Kliff offers to help investigate.

Quest Objectives

1. Speak with the distressed Bremer at the Hernand Farmhouse

2. Speak with a witness (a Herbalist) located south by the road, who charges 1 Copper for information

3. Travel to Anvil Riverside Bandit Camp and read a memory fragment about the missing cows

4. Return to Bremer with your findings

The Sky Boulder

The destruction of Bremer's farmhouse was caused by a Sky Boulder, a phenomenon previously mentioned by Willian. An Alchemist confirms during the investigation that this event was responsible for the initial explosion, which left Bremer vulnerable to the subsequent bandit raid. The Sky Boulder connection ties Bremer's personal tragedy to the larger supernatural events unfolding across the Hernand region.

The Missing Cattle

At the Anvil Riverside Bandit Camp, players discover a memory fragment titled "The Missing Cow" using their lantern. The memory reveals a grim truth: the stolen cattle went mad and died randomly after being taken. Players can harvest materials from the carcasses and find a Palmar Pill in nearby crates.

The Hernand Farmhouse is also the starting point for additional quests including "The Man Trapped in the Mire" (main quest) and "Bounty Notice: Bianca" (faction quest). While Bremer is not directly involved in these, they share the same location.
