How to Obtain
The Demenissian Gold-Decorated Shield is Damiane's starting shield, equipped automatically when the player first gains control of her. It cannot be purchased from merchants, found as loot, or crafted. Since it is character-specific starting gear, it is the only way to access this shield.
Core Slots
The Demenissian Gold-Decorated Shield comes pre-equipped with 2 Abyss Cores: Fortification I (Defense +3) and Aegis I (Damage Reduction 1.0). These cores can be swapped out at a witch NPC at no cost, allowing players to reconfigure the shield's bonuses for different combat situations.
Usage Notes
As Damiane's default shield, the Demenissian Gold-Decorated Shield pairs naturally with her rapier-based fighting style. The Movement Speed Lv.2 bonus complements Damiane's agile combat approach, allowing quick repositioning between parries and counterattacks. The pre-equipped Fortification I core adds 3 extra defense on top of the base DEF 6, while Aegis I provides flat damage reduction of 1.0 per hit taken. Together, these make the shield surprisingly durable for starting equipment. The shield cannot be sold, so players will carry it until finding a stronger replacement. It supports up to 10 levels of refinement at a Blacksmith, making it viable well into the mid-game if upgraded.
