Two currencies
Starsand Island uses two currencies: Coins (the main currency for buying items) and Starsand (a progression currency for land expansion, Workpedia skill upgrades, and unlocking properties). Both are earned through gameplay in different ways.
Coins
Coins are earned by selling items at shops, completing quests, and fulfilling Bulletin Board requests. Everything you buy from shops costs Coins.
Best ways to earn Coins
Farming Your farm should be the first priority for stamina each day. Cooking raw crops into dishes increases sell value dramatically. See the money-making guide.
Fishing The fastest early money maker. Deep-sea fish from yacht trips sell for the most. See all fish.
Cooking Processed and cooked goods sell for far more than raw ingredients. Golden Fried Rice (1× Egg + 1× Rice) sells for 246 Coins. See cooking recipes.
Mining Smelt ores into ingots and sell them. One of the most efficient mid-game sources. See the mining guide.
Bulletin Board requests NPCs post daily requests at the Community Center. Up to 4 per day, netting 1,500–2,000 Coins.
Stamp Collection Islandpedia milestones reward Coins for discovering items. Early stamps can reward 5,000+ Coins.
The Merchant Ship
The Merchant Ship at Starsand Port is the single best way to maximize profits. It buys items at 200% value double what any shop pays. Unlocked after completing the Starsand Port Construction quest from Marston (requires 15 Stone + 15 Softwood). Save your most valuable items for the Merchant Ship.

Starsand
Starsand is a secondary currency used for land expansion, Workpedia skill upgrades, and unlocking additional properties. You earn Starsand by:
Completing profession certifications and trials.
Reaching milestones and achievements.
Filling out the Islandpedia in your phone.
Completing StarNote achievements (50–1,500 Starsand Points each).
Completing Island Life goals.

Glowing Shells
A special limited currency used at Lex's Woodworks for certain exclusive furniture items. Glowing Shells are found in the Moonlit Forest and are separate from the main Coins/Starsand currencies.
Selling items
You cannot sell from the inventory menu you must physically visit a shop and interact with the cash register. Any shop will buy any item. Tips for selling:
Do not sell raw crops. Cook or process them first for higher returns.
Save the most valuable items for the Merchant Ship (200% value).
Build multiple Jam Makers for passive income. Jams sell for 10–50% more than raw fruit.
Bulletin Board requests pay more than standard shop prices for specific items.
