Developer Background
Seed Sparkle Lab (formerly known as Seed Lab and Creativision Studio) is based in Zhuhai City, China, led by Creative Director Richardo Wang and Technical Director Golton Gao. The studio marketed itself as a small student-led team throughout its Kickstarter campaign. A September 2025 interview confirmed that the studio was founded with investment from Kingsoft and Seasun Games (the companies behind Mecha BREAK). The developer has stated that this investment does not equate to control over creative direction and that they operate as an independent studio.
Community investigations in February 2026 uncovered that the game's trademark is filed under Zhuhai Kingsoft Digital Network Technology Co., Ltd., and that the game client contains libraries from Seasun Games. This led to discussion about the distinction between independent and corporate-backed development, with some players questioning why a studio with institutional backing sought crowdfunding from fans.
Anti-Cheat and EULA Controversy
Shortly after launch, players criticized the inclusion of anti-cheat software in a single-player game and flagged restrictive language in the EULA. Seed Sparkle Lab responded by removing the anti-cheat system and amending the user agreement. The studio also confirmed that the game contains no microtransactions and that all cosmetic content uses in-game currency only.
Free Thank-You Pack
To address community concerns, Seed Sparkle Lab gifted all Steam players a free "Thank-You Pack" containing a yellow swimsuit and pink frog pajamas. A Chinese New Year DLC was also included with base game purchases, providing traditional furniture and a Neo-Chinese outfit claimable via the Community Center self-service terminal.
