Overview
House Roberts is one of the noble houses in the Hernand region, led by Leon Roberts (commonly referred to as Count Roberts). Their quest line is almost entirely combat-driven, centered on dismantling the Bleed Bandits who have been terrorizing the count's estates and the surrounding countryside. The full chain consists of ten quests across three arcs: Estate in Dismay (five quests), Continuing Concern (four quests), and Boulder From the Sky (one quest).

Completing the Estate in Dismay arc earns a Formal Alliance with House Roberts, substantial crafting materials including the Mining Knuckledrill, powerful elixirs, an Abyss Artifact, and roughly +400 Hernandian Contribution across all reward-bearing quests.
To begin the quest line, travel to Bluemont Manor in the City of Hernand (south of the Notice Board) and speak with House Roberts's Servant standing outside the manor entrance.

Arc 1: Estate in Dismay
The first arc introduces the player to the Roberts family and their struggle against the Bleed Bandits. It consists of five quests, starting with basic combat encounters and escalating to a boss fight at Karin Quarry. Completing this arc earns the Formal Alliance with House Roberts and unlocks the second arc after a short time gate.
First Trial of Trust
Speak with House Roberts's Servant outside Bluemont Manor. He directs you southeast to Muckroot Ranch, where you should talk to the caretaker seated by a tree. The caretaker explains that bandits have taken over Bluemont Cask House to the south. Travel there and eliminate all enemies in the area. Standard melee combat works fine here; there are no special mechanics. Completing this quest awards +100 Hernandian Contribution.
Troubled Count
Return to Bluemont Manor. Speak with Erich outside the manor entrance, then enter and ascend to the second floor. Count Roberts (Leon Roberts) is seated at his desk. After the conversation, the next quest triggers immediately. This quest has no combat and is a narrative bridge.
Stolen Quarry
Travel to Karin Quarry, north of the City of Hernand. The quarry has been occupied by Bleed Bandits and is guarded by a mechanical boss called the Excavatron. The main gate is locked, so you need to climb over the wall from the west or south side to enter the arena.
Marni's Excavatron is a large construct that uses sweeping arm attacks and ground slams. Be patient with your dodges and use quick skills like Force Palm to interrupt its attacks. After defeating Marni's Excavatron, clear the remaining bandits until the progress bar reaches 0%. Use explosive barrels scattered around the quarry for extra damage against groups. Unlocking Meteor Kick before this fight is helpful for dealing with multiple enemies at once.
Completing this quest awards the Mining Knuckledrill, a special equipment item that allows you to mine ore deposits more efficiently and increases ore drops by 10%. A Gold Vein Map is also awarded, marking ore-rich locations on your map.
Sealed in Stone
Speak with Erich at the center of Karin Quarry. He gives you the Crane Control Room Key. Board the elevator and crank the handwheel to ride up to the top platform. Unlock the control room door and use the crane controls to clamp onto a large cube buried in the quarry floor, then extract it. After extraction, an opening is revealed in the ground. Dropping into it is optional but rewards a Palmar Pill, so it is worth investigating.
The Count's Honor

Return to Count Roberts at Bluemont Manor. He thanks you for your service and grants you a Formal Alliance with House Roberts. This concludes the Estate in Dismay arc. You receive Azurite x3, Bloodstone x3, an Engraved Gold Earring, and +200 Hernandian Contribution.
Arc 2: Continuing Concern
This arc becomes available some time after completing Estate in Dismay. If it has not appeared yet, progress the main story further or complete other faction quests in the meantime. The arc involves investigating and clearing Fort Perwin of a dangerous supernatural threat tied to the Bleed Bandits.
Strange Red Smoke
Travel to Bluemont Manor and speak with Count Roberts (Leon Roberts) in his second-floor office. He reports strange red smoke rising from Fort Perwin to the southwest and asks you to investigate. This is a dialogue-only quest with no combat.
The Crimson Nightmare
Journey to Fort Perwin, located southwest of Hernand near the Precipice of Echoes. Use Axiom Force to launch over the walls and enter the fort. The Bleed Bandits have occupied three sections that you must liberate before the boss appears. Each section has a progress bar that must be depleted to zero:
Barracks: Clear all enemies inside the barracks building.
Infirmary: Push through the infirmary wing and eliminate all hostiles.
Artillery Unit: Neutralize the bandits operating the fort's artillery positions.
Once all three sections are liberated, the Crimson Nightmare boss emerges. This is a large entity made of red smoke that floats above the ground. It is immune to standard melee attacks until staggered.
Crimson Nightmare Boss Strategy
The key to this fight is the Force Palm skill. Jump beneath the boss and use Force Palm in mid-air. Each hit fills roughly a quarter of its stagger gauge. Once the gauge is full, the Crimson Nightmare crashes to the ground and becomes vulnerable to regular attacks for a short window. Repeat this cycle until it is defeated.
Before entering the fort, pick up a Crude Devil Mask from the enemies around the perimeter. This mask grants immunity to the Confusion status caused by the red smoke, which makes the fight significantly easier. You can also use the Grindstone at the small camp outside Fort Perwin to temporarily increase your weapon damage before heading in.
Completing this quest rewards Freya's Elixir x1, Apollonia's Lesser Elixir x2, Meliara's Lesser Elixir x2, and an Abyss Artifact x1.
Veil of the Red Smoke
After defeating the Crimson Nightmare, the red smoke has spread to four surrounding locations. Travel to each one and clear all enemies. The order does not matter:
Fort Perwin Gate: The main entrance area outside the fort walls.
Perwin Quarry: A mining site near the fort occupied by remaining bandits.
Perwin Trading Post: A merchant outpost that needs to be liberated.
Perwin Prison Camp: A detention area held by Bleed Bandit forces.
Each location has its own progress bar. Clear enemies at all four sites to complete the quest.

Dissipated Smoke
Travel northeast to Hook Rapids, where Count Roberts has set up at Frowde Camp. Speak with him outside his tent to report the successful clearing of Fort Perwin and its surroundings. This concludes the Continuing Concern arc and awards +100 Hernandian Contribution.
Arc 3: Boulder from the Sky
The final arc is shorter than the previous two, consisting of a single quest. It becomes available after completing Continuing Concern and is an epilogue to the House Roberts relationship.
Shorthanded
Travel to Lioncrest Manor in Hernand. Bremer needs help with a House Construction Order dispatch. Complete the delivery task to wrap up the House Roberts quest line. The reward is three Bulging Copper Pouches.

Tips
The Mining Knuckledrill from Stolen Quarry is one of the most useful special equipment items in the game. It permanently improves your mining output, so completing Estate in Dismay early is highly recommended.
For the Stolen Quarry fight, explosive barrels scattered around the quarry deal heavy area damage to grouped enemies. Lure bandits near barrels before detonating them.
The Crude Devil Mask is essential for the Crimson Nightmare fight. It drops from regular enemies at Fort Perwin and its surroundings, so farm a few before engaging the boss. The mask also sells for over 10 silver each, making the farming run profitable.
The Crimson Nightmare boss looks intimidating but becomes manageable once you learn the Force Palm stagger loop. Jump and use Force Palm repeatedly to knock it down, then attack while it is grounded.
Before entering Fort Perwin, use the Grindstone at the small camp outside to temporarily boost your weapon damage. Craft Hearty Grilled Meat at a bonfire using Fine Meat (from hunted deer) for an extra stat buff.
The Continuing Concern arc has a time gate after Estate in Dismay. If Strange Red Smoke has not appeared at Bluemont Manor yet, progress the main story further or complete other faction quests in the meantime.
Completing all three arcs grants a total of approximately +400 Hernandian Contribution, which is a significant boost toward earning rewards at the Hernand Contribution Shop.
During Veil of the Red Smoke, you can clear the four sub-locations in any order. Pull groups of enemies together and use area-of-effect abilities to clear camps faster.
