Overview
Bloodstone is a mid-tier ore mineral found in the more remote and dangerous regions of Pywel in Crimson Desert. Recognizable by its deep reddish hue, Bloodstone is notable for its toxic properties. The ore contains mercury, which releases poisonous gases when disturbed during mining. Despite the hazards, Bloodstone is a valuable refinement material used at the blacksmith to upgrade weapons, armor, and metal shields.

Where to Find
Bloodstone deposits are less common than Iron Ore or Copper Ore and appear in remote areas that are harder to reach. The ore is mined from deposits using a pickaxe (purchased from the Provisioner's Shop in Hernand) or by using the Force Palm Attack ability.
South of Tashkalp: A Bloodstone deposit sits south of Tashkalp town in the Crimson Desert region. This is one of the more convenient deposits to reach if you are already in the area.
Northern Crimson Desert road: Multiple Bloodstone clusters line the main road heading north from Tashkalp toward Trader's Expanse. This is the best farming path for Bloodstone, with several distinct deposit locations spread along the route.
Delesyia region: Deposits appear on the cliff face west of Delesyia town, accessible from the road leading out of the settlement.
Pailune mountains: Remote deposits can be found in the mountainous terrain of Pailune.
For a complete map of all deposit locations, see the Bloodstone Locations article.
Mining Hazards
Bloodstone is the only ore in the game with a specific mining hazard. When you strike a Bloodstone deposit, it releases poisonous gas due to the mercury content. Protective equipment is recommended when mining Bloodstone to avoid taking damage from the toxic fumes. If you do not have protective gear, mine quickly and move away from the deposit between strikes to minimize exposure.
Uses
Bloodstone is used at the blacksmith for refinement of the following equipment:
Weapons: Various melee and ranged weapon types require Bloodstone for mid-tier refinement upgrades.
Armor: Plate armor pieces use Bloodstone in their upgrade paths.
Metal Shields: All non-wooden shield types can be refined using Bloodstone.
Bloodstone occupies a tier between common ores (Iron, Copper) and rare gems (Azurite, Epidote). It is needed for mid-game equipment upgrades when basic ores are no longer sufficient.
Tips
The northern road from Tashkalp toward Trader's Expanse has the highest concentration of Bloodstone deposits. Walk the full length of the road and mine every deposit for maximum yield.
Bloodstone is rarer than Iron or Copper, so mine every deposit you encounter while exploring the Crimson Desert and Pailune regions.
Be prepared for the toxic gas when mining. Having health recovery items on hand is useful if you take poison damage from the mercury fumes.
Deposits respawn after a period of time. Revisit productive locations periodically to maintain your Bloodstone supply.
If you are heading to Delesyia, check the cliff face west of town for additional Bloodstone before entering the settlement.
