Tristan was eliminated. The flames looming over the castle subsided, and Bastier's forces began to fracture.
Check the faction quest board regularly, as available quests rotate over time.
Completing faction quests increases your reputation with the local faction, unlocking access to better vendors and rewards.
Letter of Silence centres on Tristan, the Flame Knight, a decorated soldier turned confidant of Bastier. Tristan holds the Flame Knight's Castle in western Demeniss. Defeating him shatters Bastier's inner circle and opens up Demenissian reputation rewards.
Speak to the informant in secret, then read the unsealed letter the informant hands over. Reading the letter officially begins the Letter of Silence quest in the journal. The marker then routes you to the Flame Knight's Castle.
Travel to the Flame Knight's Castle. The approach is a narrow road with stationed Flame Knight scouts.
Fight through the elite enemies inside the fortified corridors. Use the pillars in the central hall to break line of sight on archers.
Engage Tristan in the throne room. His openers are fire-based and deal heavy burn damage.
Parry and block his flame slashes instead of trying to dodge them. His wind-ups are telegraphed but the follow-ups come in quick.
After Tristan falls, loot him for the Scorchflame Plate Gloves and Seal of Devotion.
Sweep the castle for the hidden Drake Shield on the east wall (behind boxes) and the Spada Sword on the weapon rack near the training dummies in the middle of the courtyard.

Tristan's flame attacks chunk hard. Equip fire-resistant or Abyss Gear before the fight.
Do not rush straight to exit after the kill. The Spada Sword and Drake Shield are environmental rewards that are easy to miss if you leave the castle immediately.
