Overview
The Gold Vein Map is a key item in Crimson Desert that, when consumed, reveals the locations of 10 caves containing Gold Ore deposits on the world map. Gold Ore is one of the most valuable mining resources in the game, used for crafting Gold Bars and other high-value items. Finding these deposits without the map requires extensive exploration, so the Gold Vein Map is a significant time-saver for players looking to accumulate wealth.
How to Obtain
The Gold Vein Map is obtained by defeating the Marni Excavator boss in Karin Quarry, which is located north of Rocca's Hill in the Hernand region. The boss drops the map upon defeat. The Gold Vein Map can also be obtained as a reward from the "Estate in Dismay" quest.
How to Use
The Gold Vein Map is a consumable key item. Select it from your inventory and use it to permanently reveal the locations of gold ore caves on your map. Once used, the cave locations will appear as markers, and you can visit them at any time to mine Gold Ore. The revealed locations include caves such as Anvil Hill Cave (northeast of Anvil Hill) and others scattered across Pywel.
Revealed Locations
Using the Gold Vein Map reveals 10 caves with Gold Ore deposits. These caves are distributed across multiple regions of Pywel. Each cave contains multiple Gold Ore nodes that can be mined with a Pickaxe. Gold Ore nodes respawn after a set period, allowing repeated farming.
Tips
Defeating the Marni Excavator boss is the most reliable way to get this map early
Gold Ore can be smelted into Gold Bars at a blacksmith, which can then be deposited at the Bank for interest
Always carry a Pickaxe when visiting gold caves; ore nodes cannot be mined without one
Combine gold farming with the Mining life skill to maximize yield
