Overview
The Epilogue, titled "Journey's End," is the concluding chapter of Crimson Desert's main story. Following the defeat of the Abyss threat in Chapter 12: The Abyss, Kliff returns to the world of Pywel to tie up loose ends, visit allies across the continent, and reflect on the journey that brought the Greymanes from near-annihilation to triumph. The Epilogue spans 8 quests in a single arc called Journey's End.
Unlike the intense combat of the preceding chapters, the Epilogue is primarily narrative and exploratory. There are a few combat encounters, but the emphasis is on character moments, world-building, and closure. Players travel across multiple regions of Pywel, revisiting locations from earlier in the campaign and speaking with familiar characters one last time. The pacing is deliberately slower, giving players time to appreciate the world before the credits roll.
Preparation: No special preparation is needed for the Epilogue. Combat encounters are relatively light compared to Chapters 11 and 12. Standard healing supplies are sufficient. The Epilogue unlocks after completing Chapter 12 and begins automatically after the post-credits sequence.

Journey's End
The Journey's End arc follows Kliff as he travels across Pywel, visiting the regions and people that shaped his journey. Each quest takes place in a different area of the continent, creating a farewell tour that highlights how the world has changed since the beginning of the story.
A New Beginning
The Epilogue opens with Kliff waking up at Greymane Camp after the events of Chapter 12. The camp is bustling with activity as the Greymanes celebrate their victory. Companions who survived the final battle are scattered around the camp, each with unique dialogue reflecting on the journey.
Wake up and exit the tent. The quest begins with a cinematic showing Kliff resting. After the cutscene, you gain control inside the camp's main tent.
Speak with your companions. Walk around the camp and talk to each of the Greymane members. Yann, Naira, and other key characters each have extended dialogue sequences. These conversations are optional but provide meaningful closure for each character's arc.
Visit the memorial. On the eastern edge of the camp, a memorial has been erected for fallen Greymanes. Interacting with it triggers a brief, somber cutscene honoring those who did not survive the campaign.
Speak with the camp quartermaster. The quartermaster has a special dialogue sequence and offers Kliff a gift: a commemorative item that serves as a keepsake from the campaign. Accept the gift to complete the quest.
A New Beginning is a quiet, reflective quest. There is no combat. Take your time exploring the camp and speaking with every NPC, as some have unique dialogue that only appears during this quest and is not available afterward.
Peace in Hernand
Kliff returns to Hernand, the city that served as the Greymanes' base of operations throughout much of the campaign. The city is recovering from the chaos of the preceding chapters, and its citizens are beginning to rebuild. This quest involves touring the city and speaking with key NPCs.
Travel to Hernand. Fast travel or ride to Hernand. A cutscene plays as you approach the city gates, showing the reconstruction efforts underway. Scaffolding covers damaged buildings, and workers are clearing debris from the streets.
Visit Hernand Castle. Navigate to the castle courtyard. Officials and soldiers are reorganizing the city's administration. Speak with the key political figures to learn about the post-war political situation.
Check on the merchants. Visit the market district. The vendors you interacted with throughout the campaign have new dialogue reflecting on the peace. Some offer discounted goods as a token of gratitude.
Speak with the townsfolk. Several citizens throughout the city have unique dialogue about the changes they have witnessed. Walk through the residential districts and interact with marked NPCs.
Rest at the inn. To complete the quest, visit the inn near the city center and interact with the innkeeper. A cutscene plays showing Kliff reflecting on his time in Hernand before retiring for the night.
Peace in Hernand provides closure for the Hernand storyline that began in the earliest chapters. The city feels noticeably different from when you first arrived, with fewer soldiers on the streets and a more relaxed atmosphere among the citizens. Some shops now carry exclusive post-game items.
The Unyielding Shields
This quest takes Kliff to visit the Greymane veterans who fought alongside him during the campaign's most brutal battles. The "Unyielding Shields" refers to the soldiers who held the defensive line during the siege of Calphade in Chapter 6 and the final battle at the Abyss gate in Chapter 12.
Travel to the Calphade memorial. Ride to the Calphade region where the siege took place. A new memorial has been erected at the site of the heaviest fighting. Interact with it to trigger a cutscene recalling the events of the siege.
Find the veterans' encampment. Follow the quest marker to a small camp where retired Greymane soldiers have gathered. Several of them are characters you fought alongside during the siege sequences.
Share stories with the veterans. Sit at the campfire and participate in the storytelling sequence. The veterans recall key moments from the campaign. This is an interactive dialogue sequence where you choose which stories to share. Each option provides a different perspective on the events of the main story.
Receive the Shield of the Greymanes. At the conclusion of the gathering, the veterans present Kliff with a ceremonial shield bearing the Greymane insignia. This is a unique cosmetic item that represents the bond between Kliff and his comrades.
The Unyielding Shields is one of the most emotionally resonant quests in the Epilogue. The campfire storytelling sequence is unique in the game and provides callbacks to events from Chapters 3, 6, 7, and 12. There is no combat in this quest.
The Heart of Pywel
Kliff travels to the geographic and spiritual center of Pywel, a location that holds significance in the continent's ancient history. The Heart of Pywel is a natural wonder: a massive canyon formation where ley lines converge and the boundary between the physical world and the Abyss is thinnest.
Journey to the Heart of Pywel. The quest marker leads to a remote region accessible by riding through mountain passes. The landscape becomes increasingly dramatic as you approach, with towering rock formations and ancient ruins visible in the distance.
Explore the ancient site. Walk through the ruins surrounding the Heart. Interactive markers provide lore about the history of Pywel, the origins of the Abyss, and the ancient civilizations that once lived in harmony with its power.
Descend into the canyon. Use the natural pathways to descend into the canyon. At the bottom, you find a calm pool of water reflecting the sky above. The atmosphere is serene and contemplative.
Commune with the Abyss. Interact with the altar at the water's edge. A cutscene plays in which Kliff has a vision related to the Abyss and its true nature. The vision provides context for the events of the campaign and suggests that the balance has been restored, but not permanently; the Abyss will always be a part of Pywel.
The Heart of Pywel quest offers the deepest lore in the Epilogue. The vision sequence provides explanations for several mysteries that were left unresolved during the main campaign, including the origins of Axiom Force and the true purpose of the Abyss Artifacts. Listen carefully to the dialogue during the vision, as it contains details that may be relevant to future content updates.
The Desert's Edge
Kliff travels to the arid borderlands at the edge of Pywel's explored territory. The desert has always been a place of mystery and danger, and even in peacetime, threats linger in the sands. This is one of the few Epilogue quests with significant combat.
Ride to the desert outpost. Follow the quest marker to a small settlement on the desert's edge. The outpost serves as a waystation for traders and travelers heading into the unknown.
Speak with the outpost commander. The commander reports that creatures have been emerging from a recently opened fissure in the desert. While the main Abyss gates have been sealed, smaller breaches continue to appear.
Investigate the desert fissure. Travel into the desert to the marked location. The fissure is a crack in the ground from which faint Abyss energy seeps. Approach it to trigger an encounter with corrupted desert creatures.
Defeat the corrupted creatures. Three waves of enemies emerge from the fissure. These are similar to the Abyss-corrupted creatures from Chapter 11 but scaled to post-game difficulty. Use the same strategies: dodge area-of-effect attacks and counterattack during recovery windows.
Seal the fissure. After clearing all three waves, use Force Palm on the fissure to seal it. The desert calm returns, and the outpost commander thanks you upon your return.
The Desert's Edge is the Epilogue's primary combat quest. The creatures are not particularly difficult for a fully equipped end-game character, but they provide a satisfying reminder of the Abyss mechanics from the main campaign. The quest also hints that the Abyss threat is not fully resolved, leaving the door open for future content.
The Enduring Flame
The Enduring Flame brings Kliff back to the people and places that sustained the Greymanes during their darkest moments. This quest focuses on the non-combatants: the cooks, healers, smiths, and farmers who kept the mercenary band alive and functional throughout the war.
Visit the supply villages. Travel to the farming villages that provided food and resources to the Greymanes during the campaign. The farmers are celebrating the end of the war with a harvest festival.
Participate in the festival. The festival includes several mini-game activities: arm wrestling, a foot race through the village, and a cooking competition. Each activity is optional and awards small cosmetic rewards.
Speak with the village elder. The elder recounts the hardships the village endured during the war and thanks Kliff for his role in ending the conflict. The dialogue is heartfelt and provides a ground-level perspective on the impact of the campaign's events.
Light the commemorative flame. At the festival's conclusion, interact with the unlit torch at the village center. Kliff lights the flame, symbolizing hope and renewal. A cutscene shows the flame burning brightly as the villagers cheer.
The Enduring Flame is a warm, celebratory quest that contrasts sharply with the combat-heavy content of the preceding chapters. The mini-games are light and enjoyable, and the festival atmosphere provides a welcome tonal shift. This quest has no combat encounters.
Evolving City
Kliff returns to Delesyia to witness how the technologically advanced city has changed in the aftermath of the Abyss crisis. The conspirators have been removed from power, and new leadership is working to redirect the city's technological capabilities toward peaceful purposes.
Enter Delesyia. Fast travel or ride to the Delesyia border. The city's atmosphere has changed noticeably: the oppressive military presence from Chapter 11 has been replaced by civilian activity and construction projects.
Tour the reconstruction efforts. Follow the quest markers through the city. Stop at each marked location to observe and interact with the changes. Factories that previously produced weapons are being converted to manufacture agricultural and construction equipment.
Visit the research institute. The scholars you met during Chapter 11 have a new project: studying the Abyss in a responsible manner, without attempting to weaponize its power. Speak with them to learn about their findings and plans.
Inspect the decommissioned mechs. In the industrial quarter, the combat mechs that were once Delesyia's primary military asset are being repurposed for civilian use. Construction and mining applications have been developed. Interact with one of the converted mechs for a brief, humorous dialogue sequence.
Meet the new city leadership. The quest concludes with a meeting at the city's administrative center. The new leaders express their commitment to cooperation with the other regions of Pywel, marking a departure from Delesyia's previous isolationist and militaristic policies.
Evolving City provides closure for the Delesyia storyline from Chapter 11. The contrast between the city during the main campaign and its post-war state is striking and reinforces the impact of the player's actions. No combat is required.
New Horizons
The final quest of Crimson Desert's campaign. New Horizons brings Kliff's journey full circle as he returns to Greymane Camp for one last gathering with the companions who accompanied him through the entire adventure.
Return to Greymane Camp. Travel back to the camp where the Epilogue began. The camp has been set up for a farewell celebration, with banners, torches, and a large campfire in the central clearing.
Gather with your companions. Approach the campfire. A cinematic plays in which all surviving Greymane members gather together for the final time. The atmosphere is bittersweet: there is joy at the victory, but also an awareness that the group's paths are about to diverge.
Listen to the final speeches. Several characters deliver brief speeches about what comes next. Some plan to continue as mercenaries, others intend to settle down, and a few express interest in exploring the unknown regions beyond the mapped borders of Pywel.
Make the final toast. Kliff raises a drink to the Greymanes. The camera pans across each companion's face one last time before pulling back to show the entire group silhouetted against the sunset.
Watch the ending cinematic. A final cinematic montage shows scenes from across Pywel: Hernand rebuilding, Delesyia's transformation, the desert outpost thriving, and the Abyss sealed. The montage ends with Kliff riding alone into a sunrise on the open road, his expression determined and hopeful.
New Horizons is the emotional culmination of the entire Crimson Desert experience. After the credits roll, the game returns you to the open world with all your equipment and progress intact. You are free to continue exploring, completing side quests, challenging bosses, and hunting collectibles.

New Game Plus

To replay the campaign, you must create a new save file. However, your completed save file remains available for post-game content indefinitely.
Tips for the Epilogue
The Epilogue has no time pressure. Take your time visiting each location and speaking with every NPC for the full experience.
Some NPCs have unique dialogue that only appears during specific Epilogue quests. Once a quest is completed, that dialogue disappears. If you want to experience everything, be thorough before advancing.
The Desert's Edge quest is the only Epilogue quest with significant combat. If you need to resupply, do so before heading to the desert.
Post-game vendors may carry exclusive equipment that was not available during the main campaign. Check all shops in Hernand and Delesyia.
The festival mini-games in The Enduring Flame award cosmetic items. They are not required for any achievements or completion tracking, but they are fun diversions.
After New Horizons, you can continue playing indefinitely. There is no point of no return in the Epilogue.
