Gathering Overview
Animal products are primarily obtained through hunting wildlife and skinning the carcass. After killing an animal, interact with the body to collect dropped materials: meat, hide, bones, and sometimes fangs. Different animals yield different material combinations. Small mammals like rabbits and foxes give Thin Hide and Small Bone, while large mammals like rhinos and elephants give Thick Hide and Large Bone.
Some animal products can also be acquired from the Greymane Camp ranch (Fleece/Wool from sheep), vendor shops (Provisioner and Tannery in Hernand), and enemy loot drops (bandits drop Fleece and other materials).
Refinement Uses
Animal products are used at the blacksmith for refining leather armor, soft armor, cloaks, and jewelry at levels 1 through 4. From level 5 onward, Abyss Artifacts are required in addition to these materials.
Material Type | Refinement Use |
|---|---|
Hides (Thin, Short Hair, Long Hair, Thick) | Leather armor, coats, and jewelry refinement |
Bones (Small, Large) | Weapon and armor enhancement, structural crafting |
Feathers | Soft armor, cloaks, and jewelry refinement |
Soft armor, cloaks, and jewelry refinement; cloth crafting |
Trading
Pelts and other animal products can be sold for profit through the trading system. Unpackaged items can be sold at Black Market vendors for a small amount of Copper, while packaging them through the camp wagon manager and selling at Trading Posts yields much higher returns in camp funds.
