Overview
Fruits and Vegetables are a category of gatherables in Crimson Desert that players can collect from bushes, trees, garden patches, and vendor stalls across the continent of Pywel. These items serve two primary purposes: raw consumption for immediate Spirit recovery and use as ingredients in cooking recipes. Foraging does not require any special tools. Simply walk up to a glowing resource node and interact with it to pick the item.
The continent features 16 vegetables and 17 fruits spread across five major regions: Hernand, Demeniss, Delesyia, Pailune, and the Crimson Desert. Six vegetables and four fruits grant a Spirit bonus when consumed raw, making them valuable field consumables between meals. The remaining items function as cooking ingredients or spices that unlock recipes at a bonfire.
Players can also grow certain crops at the Greymane Camp once the farming facilities have been constructed. This is the only way to obtain Pears, which do not grow naturally anywhere in Pywel.
Vegetables
Vegetables are found primarily in the fertile agricultural lowlands of Hernand and Demeniss, though some species grow in the cooler highlands of Pailune or the southern forests of Delesyia. Four vegetables (Garlic, Potato, Sweet Potato, and Carrot) provide Spirit +2 when eaten raw, making them the most efficient vegetable consumables. Parsley and Fennel function as spices rather than standalone ingredients, adding flavor to cooked dishes.

Fruits
Fruits are foraged from bushes and trees across the continent. Unlike vegetables, several fruits provide an immediate Spirit recovery when consumed raw, making them useful as quick field consumables between meals. Berries tend to grow in multiple regions simultaneously, while specialty fruits like Fig and Pomegranate are restricted to Demeniss. The arid interior of the Crimson Desert hosts its own unique fruit varieties that are unavailable anywhere else in Pywel.

Regional Distribution
Each region of Pywel supports different fruits and vegetables based on its climate and terrain. Understanding which items grow where helps players plan efficient gathering routes.
Hernand
Hernand is the agricultural heartland of Pywel and offers the widest variety of produce. Vegetables such as Onion, Cucumber, Turnip, Beet, Sweet Potato, Cabbage, Parsley, Carrot, and Asparagus all grow in this region. On the fruit side, players can find Raspberry, Blackberry, Blueberry, Tomato, Apple, and Strawberry. Northern Hernand in particular is a rich foraging zone for Cucumber, Parsley, Strawberry, and Asparagus.
Demeniss
Demeniss shares many crops with Hernand but also hosts several exclusive or rare items. Vegetables like Onion, Turnip, Beet, Sweet Potato, Cabbage, and Carrot grow here alongside Hernand. Demeniss is notable for being the only source of Pomegranate (rare), Fig, and Grape. Tomato, Apple, and Strawberry round out its fruit offerings.
Delesyia
Delesyia is the sole source of Garlic and Fennel among vegetables. Its forests and orchards support Raspberry, Elderberry, Blackberry, Blueberry, and Peach. Southern Delesyia is the only place where Orange trees grow. The Delesyia/Crimson Desert border region is one of only two areas where Cacao can be found.
Pailune
Pailune is a mountainous region with cooler temperatures. Its highland towns are the only source of Wild Garlic, and Parsley grows along its northern border with Hernand. Asparagus also appears in Southern Pailune. For fruits, Raspberry, Blackberry, and Blueberry grow in the Pailune wilderness.
The Crimson Desert
The Crimson Desert is an arid interior region with limited but unique produce. Pineapple, Desert Melon, Coffee Cherry, and Cacao are found exclusively in or around desert villages and towns. These items appear in limited quantities, so players should purchase or harvest them whenever the opportunity arises.
Spirit Recovery Comparison
Not all fruits and vegetables restore Spirit when consumed raw. The following table ranks every item that provides a Spirit bonus, sorted from highest to lowest recovery. Items without a Spirit effect function solely as cooking ingredients or spices.

Potato is the most practical Spirit consumable because it grows throughout the entire continent. Apple and Carrot are strong alternatives in Hernand and Demeniss. Raspberry only restores +1, but its availability across three regions means players can usually find one in a pinch.
Cooking Uses
Most fruits and vegetables serve as ingredients in cooking recipes prepared at a bonfire. Cooking requires the appropriate recipe scroll, the listed ingredients, and access to a bonfire or camp kitchen. Cooked meals generally restore more Spirit and provide temporary stat buffs that raw consumption does not offer.
Vegetables like Onion, Cabbage, Turnip, and Beet appear in stews, soups, and roasted dishes. Pumpkin's long shelf life makes it a favored ingredient for provisions on extended trips. Parsley and Fennel do not function as primary ingredients; instead, they act as spices that boost the effectiveness or flavor rating of a dish.
On the fruit side, berries (Blackberry, Blueberry, Elderberry) feature in desserts and medicinal brews. Tomato is one of the most versatile fruits, appearing in sauces, stews, and grilled dishes. Desert Melon has a unique property as a natural meat tenderizer, making it valuable for recipes that include animal materials. Coffee Cherry is used exclusively for brewing coffee, which offers a different set of buffs compared to standard cooked meals.
How to Obtain
Foraging
Most fruits and vegetables can be picked directly from bushes, trees, and garden patches throughout Pywel. Walk up to a glowing resource node and interact with it to collect the item. Foraging does not require any special tools. Resource nodes respawn after a set period, so revisiting the same area later will yield more items. Berry bushes in particular tend to cluster together, making it possible to gather several fruits from a single clearing.
Purchasing
Grocers in major towns stock a selection of common vegetables and fruits. Prices vary by region and availability. Items like Potatoes, Onions, and Cabbage are cheaply available at most grocers, while rarer items such as Pomegranates and Pineapples cost significantly more. Desert-region vendors in the Crimson Desert are the only reliable source for Coffee Cherry, Desert Melon, and Pineapple if foraging nodes have already been harvested.
Farming
The Greymane Camp includes vegetable patches once the appropriate facilities are constructed. Plant seeds and wait for crops to grow, then harvest them for cooking. Farming is the only way to obtain Pears, which do not grow naturally anywhere in the wild and cannot be purchased from vendors. Other common crops like Potatoes and Carrots can also be cultivated to maintain a steady supply without needing to travel.
Tips
Carry a few Apples, Oranges, or Potatoes for quick Spirit recovery in the field without needing a bonfire.
Garlic, Potato, Sweet Potato, Carrot, Apple, and Orange all provide Spirit +2 when consumed raw, making them the most efficient consumables in this category.
Raspberry gives Spirit +1, which is lower than other options but useful in a pinch because Raspberries grow in three different regions.
Pears must be cultivated at Greymane Camp; they cannot be found or purchased elsewhere.
Desert-exclusive items like Coffee Cherry, Cacao, and Desert Melon are only available in limited quantities from the arid interior of the Crimson Desert.
When planning a gathering run, start in Northern Hernand for the widest variety of both vegetables and fruits in a single route.
Stock up on Garlic and Fennel when visiting Delesyia, as both are exclusive to that region and useful in cooking.
Pumpkins do not spoil quickly, making them one of the best vegetables to carry during long journeys between towns.
Check vendor inventories after reaching new towns. Some items that are rare to forage (like Pomegranate) may be available for purchase at regional grocers.
