Pelts are processed animal hides with the fur left intact. They are obtained by hunting various wildlife across Pywel and skinning the carcass. Most fur-bearing animals, including wolves, foxes, and bears, can yield Pelts alongside their regular hide drops.
Trading
Pelt is primarily a trade material rather than a crafting ingredient. It can be sold in two ways:
Black Market: Sell unpackaged Pelts directly at the black market vendors in Goldleaf Trading Posts for immediate Copper. The black market in Hernand town is located on the west side, southeast of the jail. Profit margins are low, but it requires no preparation.
Trading Center: Package Pelts through Carl (the Provisions Keeper at Greymane Camp) for 100 Copper per item, then load them onto your wagon and sell at a Trading Post for significantly higher returns. You need at least 25 of a specific item to sell in bulk at Trading Posts.
Packaging for Trade
To sell Pelts at the Trading Center, speak to Carl at Greymane Camp to package them into Packaged Pelt crates. Then talk to Brice, the wagon manager, to load them onto your wagon. Deliver the wagon to a Trading Post to complete the sale and earn camp funds.
Tips
Pelts are more valuable as packaged trade goods than sold loose at the black market. Invest the 100 Copper packaging fee to maximize returns.
