Bones
Bones are Crafting Materials obtained primarily through Hunting in Crimson Desert. These materials are used in the crafting of various weapons and armor pieces, as well as certain accessories. Bones serve as reinforcement components in weapon hilts, armor plating, and decorative elements on equipment.
There are three types of bone material, each dropped by different categories of animals and enemies. Smaller creatures yield Small Bones, predators with sharp teeth drop Fangs, and the largest beasts provide Large Bones. All three types are classified as Gatherables under the Crafting Materials umbrella.

Where to Find Bones
Bones drop alongside leather and meats when looting hunted animals. Not every animal drops bones on every kill; the drop rate varies by species. Predatory animals like wolves and bears have a higher chance of yielding bones compared to passive herbivores.
Small Bones are the most common and can be collected from nearly any small animal across the world. Fangs are limited to predators, so players looking for Fangs should hunt in areas with wolf packs and wild cats. Large Bones are the rarest of the three and typically require hunting the biggest creatures in the game, such as bears found in deep forests and mountainous regions.
Bones can also occasionally drop from certain humanoid enemies and undead creatures encountered during quests and in Abyss encounters.
Uses
Bones are used in weapon and armor crafting recipes. In weapon crafting, bones serve as structural components for hilts, pommels, and blade reinforcements. Fangs in particular are used in crafting daggers and certain one-handed weapons that feature animal motifs. Large Bones are required for heavier equipment like two-handed weapons and reinforced armor plating.
Some accessory and tool crafting recipes also call for bones. For example, certain fishing rods and trapping tools use Small Bones as components.
Tips
Hunt wolf packs near forests for an efficient source of both Fangs and Thin Hide at the same time.
Large Bones are rare drops, so consider hunting in areas with dense populations of large animals rather than targeting solitary creatures.
Bones stack in your inventory, so there is no weight penalty for carrying a large supply while out on a hunting trip.
