Aeserion's Gear Blueprint is a 10-page crafting manual found at the Serpent Shrine in Delissia. It unlocks recipes for all 10 Aeserion weapons, which require Aeserion's Scales, Platinum, and Bismuth Ore to craft. Players can also earn a free Aeserion Sword by completing the Shackled God quest line.
Aeserion's Gear Blueprint is a multi-page crafting manual found hidden below the Serpent Shrine in Delesyia. The blueprint consists of 10 individual pages, each of which must be read separately to learn the corresponding weapon recipe. Once all pages are read, the player unlocks the ability to craft 10 unique Aeserion-class weapons at any blacksmith. These golden, dragon-scale themed weapons are tied to Aeserion the Great Serpent and represent some of the strongest craftable equipment in Crimson Desert. The one-handed sword alone can reach 34 attack when fully refined through gear refinement.
Aeserion weapons are visually distinctive with their golden finish and serpentine scale motifs. Every weapon in the set requires Aeserion's Scales, Platinum, and Bismuth Ore as shared base materials, plus additional resources that vary by weapon type. Collecting enough materials to craft even one of these weapons is a significant undertaking, so most players treat them as a long-term crafting goal.
Blueprint Location
The blueprint is found at the Serpent Shrine on an island at the southwestern tip of Delesyia. The nearest named landmark is the Three Brothers Cliff, which has a waypoint nearby. Approach the island from the northeastern side and make your way to the southwest, past the giant serpent roaming the area (it can be safely ignored).
On the southern side of the island, look for an ancient ruin with a barrier blocking a passage. Use the Focus Force Palm skill to break this barrier and access the chest behind it, which contains the recipe book. Open the book and make sure to read each of the 10 pages individually to learn every weapon recipe. Simply opening the blueprint without reading through each page will not unlock all recipes.
Before spending resources on crafting, players can earn a free Aeserion Sword by completing the Shackled God faction quest line in Delesyia. This quest involves defeating four bosses and then cleansing Aeserion the Great Serpent himself.
To start the quest, approach Aeserion at the Serpent Shrine. He will speak to you telepathically and is actually friendly. Stand on the altar and he will ask for your help, which begins the quest line. You will then need to hunt down three Ancient bosses scattered across the region. Each boss is marked on your map after accepting the quest.
To fight Priscus, climb the Spire of Ringing Truth and break the wood holding the bell at the top. This breaks the ground below, and dropping down reveals the boss arena. Praevus is a fire-based enemy, so bringing fire resistance gear is recommended. After defeating all three Ancients, return to the Serpent Shrine to cleanse Aeserion.
Cleansing Aeserion
Once the three Ancients are defeated, return to the serpent and cleanse three cores along its body. You can use any kind of charge attack (charge arrow shot, turning slash, or similar) to break them off. Then get to three individual points on its back, press the left stick to cling on, and use Focus Force Palm to punch the true core out. Do this for all three locations to complete the quest. The reward is a free Aeserion Sword, saving you the immense cost of crafting it.
All three Ancient bosses are unarmored but difficult to hit because they fly. Two skills make these fights significantly easier:
Focus Shot (fully upgraded to Focus Charge Shot): Unleashes volleys of arrows that deal great damage and build up immense stun against the Ancients.
Nature's Snare (upgraded to Retribution): While channeling this skill, projectiles cannot hit you. With the reflect upgrade, you send projectiles back at the boss, dealing damage and applying a debuff for increased damage taken.
Each page of the blueprint unlocks a unique Aeserion weapon recipe. All 10 weapons share three core ingredients: 1x Aeserion's Scale, 1x Platinum, and 5x Bismuth Ore. On top of these shared materials, each weapon requires additional resources that vary by type.
Every Aeserion weapon requires the same three core materials. Gathering these in sufficient quantities is the main bottleneck for crafting the full set.
Additional materials vary by weapon type and include ores like copper and iron, leather such as thick hide, Flawless Timber, Silver Ore, and rare gemstones like epidote and azerite. The simpler weapons (like the sword) require common materials such as copper and iron ore, while more advanced weapons demand larger quantities of rare resources.
How to Craft Platinum
Platinum is crafted at any Witch under the Craft Abyss Gear tab, in the Special Items section. You need the Platinum recipe before you can craft it.
The Platinum recipe is found at Scholar Stone. Enter the main building and head to the northwestern side where the main library is located. On the top floor, look for a book on a shelf. Reading this book teaches you the Platinum Bar blueprint.
Gathering every material needed for Aeserion weapons takes you across most of the world map. Below is a breakdown of where to find each resource and the most efficient farming methods.
Scales are scattered all over the island where the Serpent Shrine is located. Run across the entire island and use Axiom Force to pick them up, then seal them in your Kuku Iron Pot for storage. Collect every scale you can find, because you will also need them for gear refinement on top of weapon crafting. A single visit yields around 50 scales. When you are ready to use them, withdraw them from the pot before visiting the blacksmith.
Gold Bars
The easiest source of Gold Bars is Demeniss Wildlife Park on the south side of Demeniss. This area is filled with nobles who carry valuables. Look at each noble to check whether they are carrying a bag or a gold bar. If you spot one with a gold bar, run into them and spam the pickpocket button to steal it. A red zone will appear on your minimap afterward; just sprint out of the area before you get caught. You can walk right back and look for another target. If nobody is carrying a gold bar, reload the area and try again. Save before you start, just in case.
Brimstone
There are two main sources of Brimstone. The first is the Clay Urn Necropolis, located just west of the Hexe Sanctuary near Dreadfire Mountain in the southwestern part of the Crimson Desert (the desert region, north of Demeniss). The area is filled with crabs covered in Brimstone; killing them drops the material.
The second source is trading with the trolls at Scholar Stone. Give the trolls Thin Hide (obtainable from hunting or purchased at any tannery) to build reputation. At 100 reputation, they give you a random item which can be Brimstone, Rubber, or Mercury. Since you need both Brimstone and Mercury for Platinum crafting, this is an efficient way to stock up on both.
Mercury
Just north of the Hexe Sanctuary there is a Mercury pool. Approaching it is dangerous, so use caution. If you have the Imbue Element skill upgraded to Elemental Charge Shot (second tier), fire ice-imbued shots into the liquid Mercury. This generates a physical form that solidifies and drifts to the pool's edge, where you can pick it up.
Mercury can also be obtained from the troll traders at Scholar Stone using the same Thin Hide exchange described above.
Holy Water is the simplest Platinum ingredient to obtain. It is sold at any church, and there is a church in each major city. You need two Holy Water per Platinum bar, so purchase as many as you need before visiting a Witch.
Bismuth Ore
Bismuth Ore is required in large quantities (5 per weapon) and has several farming locations across the map:
Best source.Boss Abyssmouth Crab drops 30 Bismuth Ore + a Skill Point.
Abyssmouth Crab Boss Strategy
The Abyssmouth Crab at the Well of Enlightenment is the single best source of Bismuth Ore, dropping 30 on defeat along with a skill point. To beat it, land on the crab's back and look for three weak points (crystals). Break these off using heavy attacks, Turning Slash, or Charge Shot. Once exposed, cling to each point by pressing the left stick, then press heavy attack to stab in and pull out for massive damage. Repeat for all three points. During the second health bar, attack the vulnerable points directly for easy damage.
Obtaining Flawless Timber requires a logging tool with the Expert Logging property. The easiest early option is Old Vald's Logging Axe.
To get the recipe for this axe, travel to Pailune and head north of the city. There is a special tree location with a shade hideout. Inside the hideout, find the book that teaches you the axe recipe. The axe requires Ivory, Rubber, and Sturdy Hide to craft:
Ivory: Kill elephants or rhinos in the Crimson Desert near towns.
Rubber: Trade Thin Hide with the troll scholars at Scholar Stone.
Sturdy Hide: Hunt crocodiles along the Red River on the southern edge of the Crimson Desert.
Once you have the axe, use it to chop trees and harvest Flawless Timber. An alternative for late-game players is the Chainsaw blueprint, available from a researcher in Dewhaven Keep in Delesyia.
Follow the silver ore trail on the north side of the lake through a ravine. Use Force Palm to reveal a cave full of silver.
Rare Jewels and Gemstones
Some Aeserion weapons require rare gemstones like epidote and azerite. The best farming location for these is the Stoneback Crab Wetlands, located east of Demeniss and north of Delesyia. This watering hole area has an island in the center (with a Stoneback Crab that you can ignore). Zooming in on the map with the environment filter reveals a ring of ore and gem nodes surrounding the island. Mine all of them for a variety of jewels and gemstones. These nodes respawn every seven in-game days, so return regularly to stock up.
How to Read the Blueprint
Unlike single-page recipe books, Aeserion's Gear Blueprint requires you to read each page individually. Open the item in your inventory and you will be presented with a multi-page document. Interact with each page one at a time to learn the corresponding recipe. Simply opening the blueprint without reading through each page will not unlock all 10 recipes.
Tips
Complete the Shackled God quest line first to get the Aeserion Sword for free before investing resources in crafting other weapons.
The blueprint can be collected on your very first visit to the Serpent Shrine. You do not need to defeat any bosses to pick it up.
Start stockpiling Platinum materials early. The crafting chain (Gold Bar, Brimstone, Mercury, Holy Water) involves multiple farming locations, so building a stockpile over time is much easier than trying to gather everything at once.
The trolls at Scholar Stone are a particularly efficient resource. Trading Thin Hide with them can yield Brimstone, Mercury, or Rubber, covering multiple Platinum ingredients and the Rubber needed for Old Vald's Logging Axe.
Fight the Abyssmouth Crab at the Well of Enlightenment as early as possible. The 30 Bismuth Ore reward is enough for six weapons and saves hours of farming.
Aeserion weapons can be further enhanced through gear refinement using additional Aeserion's Scales. The final refinement level provides the largest stat boost in the game.
Read every page of the blueprint before visiting the blacksmith. Missing even one page means you will not have access to that weapon type.
The Aeserion Dagger is especially useful for farming thanks to its 10% bonus chance to skin additional hide from animals.
