Overview
Remodeling lets you change the appearance of an existing house in Pokemon Pokopia without demolishing and rebuilding it. By placing a new building kit onto an existing structure, you can swap its design while keeping the same footprint. This only works on houses originally built with a building kit.
How to Remodel
Get a matching building kit: The new building kit must match the dimensions of the existing house. You cannot apply a larger or smaller kit to a mismatched structure.
Empty the house: Remove all furniture and all resident Pokemon from the building. The remodel will not proceed if anything remains inside.
Place the new kit: Set the new building kit down on top of the existing building. This initiates the remodel process.
Wait for construction: Assign Builder Pokemon to complete the remodel. The new exterior will replace the old one once construction finishes.
Requirements
Requirement | Details |
|---|---|
Original structure | Must be a fixed house built with a building kit. Block-built houses cannot be remodeled. |
Kit size | The new building kit must match the existing building's dimensions exactly. |
Interior cleared | All furniture and Pokemon must be removed before the remodel can begin. |
Builder Pokemon | Assign Builder Pokemon to carry out the reconstruction. |
Limitations
Houses constructed from blocks cannot be remodeled. You must demolish a block house and rebuild it with the new design.
The remodel replaces the exterior only. Interior space and layout follow the new kit's design.
If you do not have a kit that matches the current building's dimensions, you cannot remodel that particular house.
Tips
Remodeling is faster and cheaper than demolishing and rebuilding from scratch, since you only need a new kit rather than all the original materials.
Store removed furniture in a nearby Storage Box so you can quickly refurnish the house after the remodel completes.
Check available kit designs at the shop or Pokemon Center shop before starting. Different regions unlock different building kit styles.
