This is a complete list of the Animon in LumenTale: Memories of Trey, organized by their in-game index number. The index is the game's record of every Animon species you can discover. The list includes regional and form variants, since some Animon under the same number differ from one another in type or attribute. Each Animon belongs to one of five attributes and one of thirteen elemental types. Many also have a hidden type that further shapes their weaknesses.
There are 158 Animon entries in the in-game index. That total counts the different variants and forms within certain species separately, because they can differ in type or attribute. Counting only the distinct named species, there are 134 unique Animon.
Count | Meaning |
|---|---|
158 | Total index entries, including variants and forms |
134 | Unique named species |
5 | Attributes that govern personality and behavior |
13 | Elemental types that affect combat strengths and weaknesses |
The game describes its own roster as over 140 species spread across 13 elemental types. That figure lines up with the index-entry count rather than the count of distinct names, because a regional form or variant takes its own numbered slot even when it shares a name with its counterpart.
The table below lists each Animon by its index number. Entries that share a number are different forms or regional variants of the same species. For type, attribute, evolution, location, and skill details, see the individual Animon pages.

Each entry is a research file rather than a checkbox. A completed one holds the Animon's attribute, its elemental type, its hidden type if it has one, its base stats, its evolution chart, and the weaknesses specific to that species. That last point matters more here than in most collectors: weaknesses are recorded per species rather than read off a shared grid, so the entry is the only place to look them up. You can open an Animon's weakness chart at any time, in battle or out of it.
Entries fill through scanning creatures during battle, and each scan costs you a turn, so it is a real trade rather than a free action. The first scan or two usually surfaces the weaknesses. Getting the rest of the file open takes a third.
Action | What It Reveals |
|---|---|
First and second scan | Usually enough to reveal that Animon's weaknesses. How quickly they show depends on the creature's level. |
Third scan | Opens the rest of the file: base stats, hidden type, and evolution chart. This is what reaches the top research level. |
Capturing the Animon | Required on top of scanning before the entry counts as finished. Scanning alone never completes it. |
A finished entry is marked with a star. An entry showing yellow without a star still needs either more scans or a capture. The scan animation tells you which case you are in before you commit the turn: the ring reads orange against a creature new to the index, and blue with stars against one you have already scanned and caught.
Your own team is the awkward case, since you cannot scan a creature you own. Filling the entries for the starter Animon means running into wild or opponent versions of them later in the run. For the mechanics in full, see How to Increase Research Level.
Several species split by hemisphere and keep a shared index number while differing in type or attribute, which is why numbers 036, 055, 080, 081 and 112 each appear twice in the list above. Northern and southern Melotica, Canabble, Lobstrike, Rushog and Cimitrick are the confirmed pairs.
Separate from those are the Lost Animon, extremely rare recolored variants with redesigned appearances and very low spawn rates. They announce themselves with a sparkling sound in the world before you see them, so exploring with the audio up is the practical way to find one.
