1 revisionsAlongside its element, every Animon in LumenTale: Memories of Trey is assigned an attribute. Each attribute carries a trait, a special bonus that activates during battle. When a trait is combined with an Animon's typing, it can sharpen that creature's offense or strengthen its support, which gives every Animon a distinct role on your team and leaves plenty of room to experiment once traits are available.
There are five attributes in total, each with its own trait.
Attribute | Trait |
|---|---|
Enables an Animon to slightly heal its allies after attacking. | |
The Animon uses a percentage of its HP to deal additional damage. | |
Skill damage is directly increased. | |
Neutralizes an enemy's resistance and makes the Animon's next attack super effective if that attack would have defeated the enemy. | |
Increased chance for critical hits, and each critical hit grants 1 extra TP. |
A creature's attribute is shown on its details from the start, but you cannot use traits until you unlock them. Traits are unlocked by defeating a certain character as you progress through the areas of the main story. If you head north, this happens on Route 16 on the way to Arsilia City.
When you are choosing an Animon's attack, its trait symbol sits to the left of the move list. Selecting the prompt activates the trait, the symbol glows blue, and all of that Animon's moves become enhanced for the action. Activating a trait costs one additional unit of SP on top of the move's base cost, so plan carefully if you want several Animon to activate their traits in the same turn.
Detail | Value |

Where to activate | Trait symbol to the left of the move list |
