Overview
Rushog (Northern) is the northern regional form of Rushog, recorded as Animon No. 081 in the in-game index. It is an Ice Type creature carrying the Furor Attribute, and it is found only in the northern half of Talea, the region of Logos. The southern form shares the same index number but differs in typing, attribute, evolution and temperament, so the two are worth treating as separate creatures when you build a team.
The Rushog of the north are short-tempered. The moment one sights an opponent it charges at full speed and lashes out with its horns, and with no living target nearby it will happily take its temper out on whatever object is closest.
Type and Weaknesses
LumenTale sets weaknesses and resistances per species rather than from a single fixed chart, and you read them by scanning a creature in battle. See Type Effectiveness Explained for how scanning works and Hidden Types Explained for how a second element factors into damage.
Property | Value |
|---|---|
Animon No. | 081 |
Primary Type | |
Hidden Type | |
Attribute | |
Attribute Effect | Skill damage is directly increased. |
Weak To |
Scanning a Rushog (Northern) in battle reports it as weak to Anomalous, Chakra and Fire. Its hidden Geo element widens that spread, so a lead that only covers its primary type will often come up short.
Evolution Line
Stage | Method | Result |
|---|---|---|
Rushog (Northern) | Reach Level 36 while inside Area 25 |
The northern line runs one stage deep. Once the requirement is met the evolution triggers on the next level-up screen. The southern form takes a different route entirely; see Rushog for that line.
Locations
Locations |
|---|
Area 18, Area 22, Area 25, Biome Plains, Glacial Peak |
Every one of these sits in the northern half of the map, which is the practical reason the southern form never shows up alongside it. Use the Interactive Map: All Animon Locations to pin down exact spawn points, and see How to Catch Animon for the catching loop itself.

The Rushog that live in Northern Talea are very aggressive. When they catch sight of an opponent, they will charge with all their might, viciously lashing it with their horns. It is not uncommon for them to take their anger out on inanimate objects in the absence of a living target.

The southern form is playful and carefree, and prone to walking into things because its eyes are buried in fur. It turns up around Area 08, Area 09, Area 10, Area 12, Area 13 and Area 22. It evolves into Volcabeko at Level 36 inside Area 12, which is a different destination from the northern line. Which half of Talea you commit to after Out of Ideas therefore decides which of the two you meet first; see Should You Go North or South?.
