Coconut Rice can be prepared at either a Gas Stove or a Campfire. Both stations produce the same result with identical cook times. The Gas Stove is generally preferred because it lets you queue multiple recipes while you tend to other tasks around the farm.
The Coconut Rice recipe is obtained from the Beach Festival, a seasonal event that takes place on Summer 27 at Half-Moon Bay. During the festival, players can purchase exclusive recipes and items using Beach Coins earned through festival activities such as Crab Herding and Offshore Racing. The recipe is available at Aurelis' stall during the festival market, which opens at 12:00 PM on the day of the event.
Because the Beach Festival happens only once per year in-game, players who miss it will need to wait until the following Summer 27 for another chance. It is a good idea to prepare plenty of Beach Coins beforehand by completing the festival preparation quests on Summer 25 and 26, and then spending them at the market to pick up Coconut Rice along with any other exclusive recipes offered that year.
Once you have the recipe, it is permanently learned and will appear in your cooking menu whenever you interact with a Gas Stove or Campfire.
Coconut Rice uses only two ingredients, both of which are accessible once you know where to look. Here is how to get each one.
Coconuts are a forageable item found on the island. Look for coconut palms along the beach areas and coastal zones. Coconut palms produce fruit that can be collected directly from the tree. Since coconuts are not a standard plantable crop purchased from the Happiness Seed Shop, you will need to gather them through foraging. Each batch of Coconut Rice requires 2 Coconuts, so plan your foraging trips to collect enough before cooking sessions.
Rice is a crop that grows in all four seasons (Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter), making it one of the most reliable ingredients year-round. Rice Seeds cost 250 Coins from the Happiness Seed Shop and the crop takes 9 days to mature. Each harvest yields 4 Rice. Since one batch of Coconut Rice requires 3 Rice, a single plant provides more than enough for one serving with 1 Rice left over.
Plant Rice in a Paddy Field or on standard farmland. Set up sprinklers to automate daily watering and maintain several rows at staggered planting intervals for a steady harvest cycle. If you can obtain Everlasting Rice Seeds through the Eternal Blessings farming skill, your Rice patches will regrow after each harvest without replanting.
Raw Rice sells for 191 Coins per unit. A single batch of Coconut Rice uses 3 Rice (573 Coins worth of raw crop value) plus 2 Coconuts (foraged at no coin cost). The finished dish sells for 194 Coins, which is less than the raw Rice value alone.
This means Coconut Rice is not a profitable recipe for pure coin-making if you are comparing it to selling Rice directly. The real value of Coconut Rice lies in its stamina recovery (94 stamina per serving) and its usefulness as a gift item. If profit is your primary goal, consider cooking recipes with higher sell-price-to-ingredient ratios instead, such as Yangzhou Fried Rice (744 Coins) or Golden Fried Rice.
The Merchant Ship at Starsand Port pays double the normal selling price for all goods, including cooked dishes. If you sell Coconut Rice to the Merchant Ship, you will receive 388 Coins per serving instead of 194. At this doubled rate, the dish becomes more competitive as a money-maker, though still modest compared to higher-tier recipes.
Coconut Rice can be given as a gift to the island's residents. Each NPC has their own reaction to receiving this dish. Knowing who loves, likes, dislikes, or hates Coconut Rice helps you build friendship efficiently without wasting ingredients.

Regis is the only character who loves Coconut Rice, making it a solid gift choice when building your relationship with him. Since most other characters like it, the dish also works as a general-purpose gift in a pinch. Avoid giving it to Bruce, Panda, Sagewood, or Matilda, as they will react negatively.
Coconut Rice is one of several dishes that use Rice as a core ingredient. If you grow Rice in bulk, consider trying these related recipes as well.

Coconut Rice cooks in just 55 seconds, making it one of the fastest recipes to prepare. Keep a few servings in your inventory for quick stamina recovery while exploring or mining.
The limiting factor for mass production is Coconut availability, since coconuts are foraged rather than farmed. Plan regular foraging routes along the beach to maintain your supply.
At 94 stamina restored per serving, Coconut Rice offers decent energy recovery for a Rarity I dish. It is a good option for early-to-mid game stamina management before you have access to higher-tier recipes.
Remember that the recipe is only available during the Beach Festival on Summer 27. If you are in your first year, prioritize unlocking this recipe when the event comes around so you do not have to wait another in-game year.
If you are looking to gift Regis, Coconut Rice is one of his loved gifts. Cook a batch before visiting him to earn significant friendship points.
Do not confuse Coconut Rice with Coconut Milk (a processed ingredient). Coconut Rice is a cooked dish that uses raw Coconuts, not Coconut Milk.
