Overview
Zorua is a Dark-type Pokemon found in Bleak Beach. True to its nature as the Tricky Fox Pokemon, Zorua is disguised as an ordinary block when first encountered and must be revealed using Rock Smash. Zorua teaches the Camouflage transformation, which allows Ditto to take on the appearance of environmental objects. Zorua also hosts the Hide-and-Seek mini-game and has the Trade specialty for running shops.
How to Find Zorua
Zorua does not appear in plain sight. It is disguised as a square block with a white speech bubble marked "..." sitting outside the Bleak Beach Pokemon Center. The block looks like ordinary tiling but is out of place. Use Rock Smash on the suspicious block to reveal Zorua hiding underneath.
After revealing Zorua, it gives the player a request: "Show Off Some Toy Blocks." Craft a Toy Block at a workbench and deliver it to Zorua. Completing this request befriends Zorua and teaches the Camouflage transformation.
Camouflage Transformation
Camouflage is the 8th Ditto Transformation and one of the full-body transformations. When activated, Ditto takes on the appearance of a nearby environmental object (barrels, rocks, furniture, plants, etc.).
Detail | Info |

Controls | Press ZR near an object to transform into it |
Movement | Slowed significantly while camouflaged |
Restrictions | Cannot talk to Pokemon or interact with items while disguised |
Cancel | Press ZR again or move far enough from the original object |
Primary use | Hide-and-Seek mini-game and multiplayer prop-hunt fun |
Camouflage is designed primarily as a social and multiplayer feature rather than a utility tool. It transforms Ditto into an object for cosmetic disguise, enabling the Hide-and-Seek mini-game. In multiplayer sessions, up to four players can use Camouflage simultaneously, turning the island into a prop-hunt arena.
Hide-and-Seek Mini-Game
After learning Camouflage, Zorua permanently hosts the Hide-and-Seek mini-game on the player's island. Talk to Zorua at any time to start a game.
Solo Play
In solo mode, Zorua and other Pokemon hide around the island using their natural camouflage abilities. The player acts as the seeker and must find them within a time limit. Look for oddly placed objects or objects that seem slightly out of position.
Multiplayer
Up to four players can participate in Hide-and-Seek via online or local multiplayer. One player is designated as the seeker while the others hide by transforming into objects using Camouflage. The game functions like a prop-hunt mode:
Role | Description |
|---|---|
Hiders | Use Camouflage (ZR) near objects to blend in. Stay still and avoid suspicious movement. You can hide behind trees, stalls, or any environmental features. |
Seekers | Search the area for oddly placed objects. Interact with suspicious items to check if they are disguised players. |
Hide-and-Seek provides a daily comfort boost to Zorua, alongside the other mini-games (Jump Rope, Look That Way, and Quizzes).
Trade Specialty
Zorua has the Trade specialty, which enables it to run shops at a powered Cash Register. Assign Zorua to a habitat near a Cash Register and it will barter items with you. Other Trade-specialty Pokemon include Slowbro, Hoothoot, Noctowl, Chansey, Snorlax, Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, and Hitmontop.
Breezy Flower Bed Habitat
Zorua's habitat is the Breezy Flower Bed, which can be built in any area with flowers and open terrain.

Tips
Look for the suspicious block with "..." speech bubble near the Bleak Beach Pokemon Center. It is easy to walk past if you are not paying attention.
Craft the Toy Block at any workbench before speaking to Zorua. This speeds up the befriending process.
Zorua's Trade specialty is valuable for setting up additional shops. Place its habitat near a powered Cash Register in any area.
Decorate your island with diverse objects before hosting Hide-and-Seek. More objects mean more camouflage options for hiders.
Play Hide-and-Seek once per day for the comfort boost. Combine it with Jump Rope, Look That Way, and Quizzes for a full daily comfort rotation across multiple Pokemon.
