Overview
Tinkaton is a Fairy/Steel-type Pokemon in Pokemon Pokopia, classified as the Hammer Pokemon (Dex #270). Tinkaton is particularly skilled with its hands, allowing it to make good use of other tools in addition to its hammer. It is also very curious about buildings and machines made by humans. Tinkaton is the final evolution of the Tinkatink line, evolving from Tinkatuff in the main series. It carries the Engineer specialty, which is an advanced construction ability that goes beyond basic building.
Habitat
Tinkaton can be found at one habitat.
Oversized Dumping Ground (#154)
A dumping ground where you can even throw away large items. Unwanted appliances can go here!
Item | Quantity | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Iron Beam or Column | 3 | Metal structural supports |
Tires | 1 | Rubber wheels |
Waste Bin (any) | 1 | Any type of trash container |
Microwave Oven | 1 | Kitchen appliance |
Tinkaton is a Common visitor at the Oversized Dumping Ground. It shares this habitat with Tinkatink (Common). Both the first and final stages of the Tinkaton line can be found at this single location, making it a very efficient habitat for collecting the family.
How to Befriend
Build the Oversized Dumping Ground by placing three Iron Beams or Columns, one set of Tires, one Waste Bin, and one Microwave Oven near each other. Tinkaton is a Common visitor, so it should show up without much waiting. This habitat also attracts Tinkatink as a Common visitor, so you can befriend both members at the same location. Walk up and interact with Tinkaton when it appears to befriend it.
Specialties
Engineer
Tinkaton has the Engineer specialty. The Engineer specialty is an advanced version of the Build specialty. Pokemon with the Engineer specialty can handle more complex construction and mechanical projects, including assembling intricate machinery and advanced furniture. Tinkaton's natural curiosity about human-made buildings and machines makes it perfectly suited for this role. This specialty is especially useful late in the game when you need to construct more sophisticated island structures.

Related Pokemon
Tinkaton is the final evolution of the Tinkatink family. In the main series, Tinkatink evolves into Tinkatuff at level 24, and Tinkatuff evolves into Tinkaton at level 38. In Pokopia, there is no evolution mechanic, so each must be found at its own habitat independently. Tinkatink and Tinkatuff share the Build specialty, while Tinkaton upgrades to the Engineer specialty. Tinkaton shares the Oversized Dumping Ground habitat with Tinkatink, making it easy to collect two of the three family members from one location.
Tips
Tinkaton is Common at the Oversized Dumping Ground, making it surprisingly easy to find for a fully evolved Pokemon. Build this habitat when you need the Engineer specialty.
The Engineer specialty is an upgrade over Build. If you already have Tinkatink or Tinkatuff for Build, consider replacing them with Tinkaton for more advanced construction projects.
The Oversized Dumping Ground requires a Microwave Oven, which can be harder to find early on. Prioritize acquiring one so you can build this habitat sooner.
Tinkaton likes blocky stuff, which fits thematically with its construction-oriented nature. Place blocky and metal furniture near the habitat for maximum comfort.
