Pumpkaboo's Sweet Surprises is a free limited-time event in Pokemon Pokopia that runs from October 17, 2026 at 5:00 AM to November 1, 2026 at 4:59 AM local time. It is the seventh in-game event, announced on September 30, 2026, and the English announcement presents it as a chance to gather Pumpkin Candy for Pumpkaboo. The pumpkin Pokemon Pumpkaboo comes to your town, and the event is themed on a midnight festival.

How It Works
Talk to Pumpkaboo near the Pokemon Center and grant its request to befriend it.
Use Camouflage to transform into furniture or other objects that Pokemon like, wait for a Pokemon to come close, and startle it. Each Pokemon you surprise this way gives you Pumpkin Candy.
Exchange the Pumpkin Candy at the Pokemon Center for the event's special furniture and other items.
Build Gourgeist's habitat with the items you traded for, and Gourgeist will befriend you.
Pokemon you befriend during the event stay in your town after it ends.
How to Start the Event
All four conditions must be met before Pumpkaboo appears. If any one is missing, the event does not trigger.

If you meet the start conditions in a town while the event is already running, move to another town once or quit the game from the main menu, and the event will begin.
Restrictions
The event does not take place on Cloud Islands or in Bubbly Basin.
Camouflage must already be learned, so finish Zorua's request in Bleak Beach before the event if you have not done so.
Playing With Others
The event has its own rules for online play. See Multiplayer for the general rules.
Run the event in a blank town when playing together.
Spectator mode cannot take part in the event.
When hosting in a blank town, talk to Pumpkaboo and hear the event briefing before you open the session.

As of October 13, 2026, the official announcement does not list the individual exchange items or their Pumpkin Candy prices, the specialties of Pumpkaboo and Gourgeist, or the components of Gourgeist's habitat. This page will be expanded once the event is live.
