Venomoth

Overview

Venomoth is a Bug/Poison-type Pokemon in Pokemon Pokopia, classified as the Poison Moth Pokemon (Dex #020). Its wings are covered with dustlike scales, and every time it flaps its wings, it looses highly toxic dust. As the evolution of Venonat, Venomoth carries the Search specialty and is a Rare-tier treasure hunter.

Habitat

Venomoth can appear in two different habitats:

Venomoth appears as a Rare Pokemon at both the Illuminated Tall Grass (#007) and Illuminated Bench (#023) habitats. These are the same habitats where its pre-evolution Venonat spawns as Common, so you will likely encounter Venonat first and need patience or spawn cycling to attract Venomoth.

Location

Venomoth is found in Withered Wasteland. Its habitats require the Brightness System, using light sources placed near tall grass or benches to create the illuminated condition that attracts both Venonat and Venomoth.

How to Befriend

Build an Illuminated Tall Grass or Illuminated Bench habitat and wait for Venomoth to appear. Because it is Rare, you may need to clear Common Pokemon like Venonat from the habitat to reset spawns. You can also try dismantling and rebuilding the habitat. Once Venomoth appears, interact with it and complete its befriending request.

Specialty: Search

Venomoth has the Search specialty, inherited from its pre-evolution Venonat. Search Pokemon locate hidden Lost Relics, Music CDs, and Mysterious Slates buried underground. Walk around with Venomoth and it will signal when a hidden item is nearby.

Preferences

Like Venonat, Venomoth prefers a bright environment. However, Venomoth's tastes differ slightly: it likes "Nice breezes" and "Pretty flowers" instead of Venonat's preference for "Complicated stuff" and "Letters and words." Add flowers, wind chimes, and other breezy decorations to Venomoth's habitat for the best Comfort Level.

Evolution

Venomoth is the final evolution of Venonat. The evolution line is straightforward with no branching: Venonat evolves directly into Venomoth.

Tips

• Venomoth and Venonat share the same habitats. If you already have Venonat doing Search duty, Venomoth can cover a second area or serve as an upgrade.

• Add flowers and breezy decorations like wind chimes near Venomoth's habitat to match its preferences for "Nice breezes" and "Pretty flowers."

• Since Venomoth is Rare, it may take several habitat cycles to attract one. Clear out common Venonat visitors to free up spawn slots.

• Use Venomoth's Search ability to hunt for Mysterious Slates in the Withered Wasteland. These are essential for legendary Pokemon encounters.
