What Are Supply Chests?
The Supply Chest in Crimson Desert is a passive loot collection container that automatically gathers items you missed or left behind during gameplay. It acts as a lost-and-found for uncollected drops. You cannot deposit your own items into it manually.
If you cleared a bandit camp and forgot to loot the bodies, or left a weapon drop on the ground because your inventory was full, those items will appear in the nearest Supply Chest. This also applies to missed recipes, letters, upgrade materials, food, and Abyss Artifacts.
Supply Chest Locations
Royal Trading Post (Early Game)
Your first access to a Supply Chest is in the Royal Trading Post in Hernand City. After arriving in Hernand and waking up at the trading post, look inside the tent next to your bed. The Supply Chest is sitting right there.
Greymane Camp at Howling Hill (Permanent)
Once you unlock the Greymane Camp at Howling Hill through the main story in Chapter 3, the Supply Chest relocates here permanently. You can find it right behind the quartermaster Carl. This becomes your main hub for retrieving lost loot for the rest of the game.
What Items Appear in the Supply Chest?
Weapons and armor left on the ground after combat
Crafting materials and upgrade components you walked past
Recipes, letters, and documents you did not pick up
Food and recovery items missed during encounters
Abyss Artifacts not collected from quest rewards or fallen enemies
Preorder and Deluxe Edition bonus items
Capacity Limit
The Supply Chest has a maximum capacity of 230 slots. Once it is full, it stops collecting new items. Any loot you miss after the chest reaches capacity is lost permanently. Check the Supply Chest regularly and take out items you want to keep, then sell or discard anything you do not need.
Important Limitations
Receive only. You cannot deposit items from your inventory into the Supply Chest. It is strictly a collection bin for missed drops.
Not a storage system. Do not confuse the Supply Chest with personal item storage. Crimson Desert currently does not offer player-controlled item storage. For inventory strategies, see How to Store Items.
No item preview. You cannot see what is inside the chest until you open it. Get into the habit of checking it each time you return to camp.
Tips
Visit the Supply Chest every time you return to the Greymane Camp. Items accumulate fast, especially if you are clearing multiple camps and liberating landmarks in a single session.
If your inventory is full when visiting the Supply Chest, sell items to a nearby vendor first, then return to the chest to retrieve your lost loot.
Pay special attention to any recipes or letters in the Supply Chest. Read them immediately to permanently unlock the associated knowledge, then sell or discard the paper to free up slots.
