Overview
"Find the one responsible for the rift" is an objective during the Obsession and Madness main quest in Chapter 4 of Crimson Desert. The target is marked in the sky above the Abyss, and reaching it requires a traversal technique that the game does not clearly explain. You need to chain Force Palm strikes in mid-air to catapult yourself between tall pillars.
Starting Position
Stand on the fast travel floor plate directly in front of where you entered the Abyss. This is the launch point for your ascent.
If you fall at any point during this section, open your map and press R3 to switch to the sky map view. Use it to fast-travel back to the starting plate.
Reaching the Pillars
Jump and chain three Force Palms. Jump off the starting plate and press R3 (Right Stick) three times consecutively in mid-air. Each Force Palm strike propels you upward and forward. This is a hidden mechanic that the game does not teach you outright.
Land on the first pillar. Aim for the tall pillar visible from the starting plate. The triple Force Palm should carry you to its top.
Chain three more Force Palms. From the top of the first pillar, jump again and use three more consecutive Force Palm strikes to reach the main platform.
Activating the Mechanism
On the main platform, look for a yellow glowing mechanism on the floor. Jump over it and use Force Palm in mid-air to activate it. A cutscene plays, completing the objective.
Spirit Management
Force Palm consumes Spirit. After chaining three strikes, your Spirit may be low. Hold L3 + R3 simultaneously to recharge before attempting the next jump. Running out of Spirit mid-air will cause you to fall.
Alternative Methods
If you have invested in enough Stamina upgrades, you can attempt to climb the pillars directly instead of using the Force Palm chain technique. This is slower but more forgiving.
The Double Jump skill from Kliff's green skill tree provides extra height if you are struggling to reach the pillars with Force Palm alone.
Combining Double Jump with Force Palm chains is the most reliable approach if you have access to both abilities.
Tips
The triple Force Palm in mid-air is not taught anywhere in the game. If you have been stuck on this objective, that is almost certainly why. You can press R3 three times consecutively while airborne.
Aim slightly above your target when chaining Force Palms. You lose a bit of altitude with each strike, and aiming high compensates for this.
If you keep falling, try recharging Spirit fully before each jump attempt. Partial Spirit means fewer Force Palm strikes.
