Overview
Camora is one of three legendary horses in Crimson Desert. Known as the Legendary Red Horse, Camora is a true battle horse with the highest attack and defense of any horse in the game. While Royler prioritizes stamina and speed for exploration, and Rokade maximizes health for tanking damage, Camora specializes in raw offensive and defensive power for mounted combat. This makes Camora the optimal choice for players who use their horse as a weapon rather than just transportation.
Camora balances great health and stamina alongside its best-in-class attack and defense, making it arguably the most well-rounded legendary horse for combat situations. The trade-off comes in handling, which is lower than the other two legendary horses, meaning Camora feels less responsive during tight maneuvers.
Location
Camora can be found in the Redtree Forest of Tashkalp, in the southern region of the game world. The horse roams within a hidden area of the forest filled with distinctive red-leaved trees. Camora is easy to identify by its striking red coat, which matches the crimson foliage of its home territory.
Warning: The Tashkalp region is hot, so wearing heat-resistant clothing before heading to this area is strongly recommended. Heat drains your stamina faster, which makes the taming minigame significantly harder. Come prepared with heat-resistant gear and plenty of stamina recovery items.
Stats
Camora maximizes attack and defense at the cost of handling. It has the strongest offensive stats of any legendary horse, making its back kicks and charge attacks deal more damage than those of Royler or Rokade.
Stat | Camora Relative Rating |
|---|---|
Health | High |
Stamina | High |
Attack | Highest of all horses |
Defense | Highest of all horses |
Movement Speed | Moderate |
Acceleration | Moderate |
Handling | Low (trade-off) |
Jump Power | Moderate |
Camora's combination of high attack, high defense, strong health, and solid stamina makes it the best all-around combat horse. The lower handling is noticeable in tight spaces and sharp turns, but in open-field combat, the offensive power more than compensates.
How to Tame Camora
Taming Camora follows the standard horse taming mechanics for legendary horses. You need at least 6 Stamina attribute points. Because Tashkalp imposes heat penalties, you may want 7 or more Stamina to give yourself a comfortable margin.
Travel to the Redtree Forest in the Tashkalp region.
Equip heat-resistant clothing to reduce stamina drain from the hot environment.
Save your game before approaching Camora.
Approach the red horse slowly and jump onto its back.
During the taming minigame, hold the movement input in the direction of the horse's tail.
Fill the taming circle before your stamina runs out.
Tip: The heat penalty in Tashkalp is the main challenge when taming Camora. If you are struggling, invest one additional point into Stamina or bring Horse Stimulants to boost your stamina before the attempt.
Combat Strategies
Camora's high attack and defense stats make it the ideal horse for aggressive mounted combat strategies:
Charge attacks: Camora's back kick deals more damage than other horses, so bait enemies into positioning behind you, then kick.
Sweeping engagements: Use Camora's offensive power with sweeping weapon strikes from horseback. The high defense means you can afford to trade blows.
Boss fights: Camora's combined attack and defense make it the best legendary horse for sustained world boss encounters where you need both damage output and survivability.
Mounted archery: The solid stamina allows extended hit-and-run tactics with ranged weapons while mounted.
Tips
Equip Stirrups that increase mounted attack power to maximize Camora's offensive advantage.
Camora's lower handling means you should avoid tight forest paths and narrow canyons when riding at full speed. Stick to open terrain where maneuverability matters less.
For exploration and long-distance travel, Royler is still the better choice due to its superior stamina and speed. Use Camora when you expect combat.
Feed Camora Horse Stimulants before major fights to amplify its stamina for extended combat encounters.
Camora levels up the more you ride it, further improving all its stats over time.
