Gold Ingot is a mid-to-late-game metal in Starsand Island, smelted from Gold Ore at the Furnace II. It feeds the Alloy chain and a set of premium components, so most of your gold supply ends up processed rather than sold raw.

Smelting Recipe
Detail | Value |
|---|---|
Station | Furnace II |
Ingredients | 4 Gold Ore + 1 Coal |
Output | 1 Gold Ingot |
Gold smelting runs on Coal rather than Charcoal. Coal comes from mining in the Moonlit Forest or from burning Hardwood at the Charcoal Kiln.
Where to Get Gold Ore
Gold Ore becomes reliably available once you reach the Moonlit Forest and defeat the Crystalith boss. Veins continue to appear in deeper zones alongside higher-tier ores. See the Mining Guide for farming routes.
Major Uses
Alloy production. Alloy is smelted from 1 Gold Ingot + 1 Iron Ingot + 1 Copper Ingot + 1 Coal at Furnace II, and Alloy in turn gates most late-game crafting.
Gold Wire and Gold Sheet. Gold Ingot is the input for Gold Wire (electrical components and wiring assemblies) and Gold Sheet, the Cutter II product used in decorative crafting and premium equipment.
Decor and trophy recipes. Worktable projects such as the Golden Capybara Trophy, Chrono-Eye Clock, Jade Cabbage, and Classic Bed consume Gold Ingots directly.
Tips
Smelt before selling. Processed gold is worth more than raw ore, and the Alloy chain consumes far more Gold Ingots than most players expect.
Stockpile Coal. Gold and Iron Ingots compete for the same Coal supply at Furnace II, so keep the Charcoal Kiln running on Hardwood as a backup fuel source.
