The June 2026 update for inZOI shipped as v0.9.0 on June 19, 2026, one day after the June 18 target announced earlier in the month. Nicknamed the High School update, it is the seventh major content patch since Early Access and the first substantive feature drop after a long run of May and early-June stability hotfixes. A same-day v0.9.1 hotfix followed within hours to clear four issues found right after launch.
The headline addition is active high school gameplay: teenager Zois can now enroll in a real school, attend timetabled classes, sit tests, join clubs, go to prom, and graduate into the Young Adult life stage. Alongside it the update added a clothing store business type, reworked the hair salon business, expanded driving and map tools, deepened the romance and baby systems, and brought a large batch of Create a Zoi and Build Mode content.
After June 19, 2026 the live build is v0.9.1 (Windows PC Steam 20260619.13318.W, Mac Steam 20260619.13319.M).

Active high school gameplay replaces the old rabbit-hole schooling for teenagers. School properties were added for three cities: Dowon, Bliss Bay, and Cahaya. A teenager Zoi enrolls as a student and attends the same high school until graduating as a Young Adult. School activities are managed through a dedicated phone app.
Each active high school has a limited student capacity. When a school is full, some Zois attend a rabbit hole school instead. To bring a specific Zoi to an active school, request a transfer through the school app; you choose which school to transfer to, and previously earned grades carry over. Because the school property changed in this update, Canvas creations built on the previous school property may not be compatible with the new one.
Students follow a set timetable and take Science, Art, Skill, Physical Education, and General classes. Tests run every Thursday. Overall grades are evaluated from those test scores plus general classroom behavior, and students with poor grades can receive warnings and even be expelled.
On entering the school each student is assigned a locker. Lunch is available at the school cafeteria, either by receiving food from an employee or by gathering it yourself. Students can interact with other students and teachers throughout the day.
Students can join school clubs for extracurricular activities. Each club has its own skill requirement to join.

Students can take part in the prom party by asking another Zoi to be prom partners or by leaving a prom partner request note in their locker. Prom King and Prom Queen are chosen through voting. After prom, students may be invited to various after-parties depending on their relationships. Once a student completes the full school curriculum, they take part in the graduation ceremony.
v0.9.0 added a clothing store business and reworked the existing hair salon business. Both are business types you run on a property, not new career paths.
The clothing store business lets you install mannequins on the property to sell chosen outfit combinations to other Zois. Seven new outfit items were added that can only be accessed at the clothing store.
Hair colors are retained when changing hairstyles.
Refunds can be requested after a failed haircut.
The children hairstyles list now matches Create a Zoi.
Three new hairstyles were added that can only be accessed at the hair salon.
A Zoi's owned vehicle can now be driven by family members.
A U-turn can be performed while driving.
Car traffic simulation was improved.
The mini map can now act as GPS navigation when moving to a set destination. Both the mini map and the full map show the Zoi's current facing direction, and the mini map can be set to rotate with that facing direction under Game Option > Controls > UI Settings.
The ring menu can be toggled by pressing the [`] key. Pressing [Tab] while the ring menu is open lets you customize its buttons.
An experimental first-person camera view was added. It is enabled by entering the cheat FirstPersonMode true and then pressing [Tab]; it is not a standard camera toggle. The v0.9.1 hotfix fixed a crash that could occur when enabling this mode.
Advanced Driving Mode was added as an experimental feature. Enabling it enhances vehicle controls such as handbrake, body roll, suspension, anti-roll, and aerial state when driving cars, motorcycles, and kickboards. The separate Active Mode is still in development and was not included in this update.
Career missions and social event missions can be viewed from the same window.
NPC Zois now feature more diverse appearances.
Holiday symbols now appear on the Schedule editor.
Ragdoll simulation now applies to car crashes and other collisions.
When sitting or lying on a sofa or bed, new interactions on the same object no longer require the Zoi to get up.
Zois can sit on chairs from both directions.
Incoming phone calls appear on the smartphone rather than a separate pop-up.
Objects can be placed on tables while seated, and crafting is possible on all tables.
Changing into pajamas is now done at the closet nearest the bed.
Drinking too much coffee can negatively affect a Zoi; decaffeinated coffee avoids the effect.
Adult Zois with childish characteristics can interact with objects made for children.
Zois can now hold hands with romantic partners and family members. Two new traits were added for polarizing romantic behavior: Philandering and single-hearted. Getting caught cheating on a romantic partner causes both Zois' romance score to drop sharply and the partner to approach the cheating Zoi, who can then attempt to talk their way into recovering some of the lost score.
The baby system was expanded for newborns and toddlers. New baby traits broaden their behaviors, and values developed during the baby stage can cause the Zoi to inherit fitting traits, with parent interactions shaping which values develop. Babies can become sick, which makes parents worry, and can be placed in more locations outside the house. High chairs and baby food were added, with eight new interactions for babies placed in a high chair. Zois can also slip and fall when stepping on baby urine.
Automated behaviors were improved using a TPO (time, place, occasion) system to reduce awkward behavior choices.
Wants are now prioritized for the situation when a Zoi is in a career or business scenario.
Repeatedly performing behaviors that oppose a Zoi's current trait can cause that trait to change.
Ambitions were added for teenagers, and the ambition selection screen now shows in-progress and satisfied ambitions together.
Only the more significant memories are now stored in notifications.

When multiple presets are saved for a situational look, one is now selected at random when the look changes automatically in-game.
Skin aging parameters can be adjusted under Create a Zoi > Skin.
The genetics system for newborns was improved.

During shoulder view, all floors of a property are visible by default (revert under Game Options > Controls > Camera).
Shoulder view field of view was widened.
Furniture can be browsed by activity type as well as room type.
Environmental detail was improved across all cities.
A new option adjusts the level of weathering on objects such as furniture and appliances.
The Canvas profile in the main lobby screen was refined, showing Likes, Downloads, and Followers and adding Canvas notifications to the lobby.
The Furniture > Social Events category was removed from Canvas, with its items moved to categories that better fit each one.
Overlay UI modding is now supported, with a sample asset added to the ModKit.
MetaHuman body assets are supported.
MetaHuman Creator eyelashes, eyebrows, mustaches, and beards can be extracted using the DCC Export Helper.
The in-game mod browser design was improved for usability, and the mod auto-update pop-up was refined; auto-update is supported for both the in-game catalog and CLO mods.
The mod manager moved in-game and is now reached under Game Options > Mods.
Furniture samples used for modding can be previewed in-game after enabling the Dev category with the showUserDevCategory cheat.
CLO Connect was integrated into the game, allowing direct clothing mod downloads and uploads without leaving inZOI, with search and filter options and download history synced between web and in-game.

As with every patch, all installed mods are automatically disabled when an update is applied and must be re-enabled afterward.
In a same-day director's message, Kjun said the next update will focus only on stabilizing the base game and strengthening the connections between existing content, rather than shipping another large feature set. The stated goal is to make already-developed features connect more naturally so the simulation feels closer to real life. Two approaches were outlined: better numerical control over the values, priorities, and conditions that drive Zoi behavior, needs, and schedules; and active situation-control features that give players clearer ways to understand and guide what is happening in the game. Kjun also raised the idea of letting the community fill some gaps through mods.
