Clubs and Social Groups
Organized social activities in inZOI let Zois gather with others for shared interests and group experiences. The v0.4.0 update (October 2025) introduced several new social event types that function as clubs and group activities, including Fitness Club meetings, Group Study sessions, and Blind Dates. These events are planned through the Events app on the smartphone and can be customized with guest lists, venues, and activity guidelines. The 2026 roadmap includes plans for recurring weekly clubs and hobby groups, which will formalize these gatherings into persistent social structures.
Group Event Types
The v0.4.0 update expanded social events from three core types (Parties, Dates, and Weddings) to over a dozen options. The new event types most relevant to organized clubs and groups are:
Event Type | Focus | Details |
|---|---|---|
Fitness Club | Group exercise and physical fitness | An exercise-focused meetup where all participants work out together, improving Fitness skill for everyone involved. |
Group Study | Academic and skill development | A study session where Zois learn together and boost their skills. Useful for leveling intellectual skills like Critical Thinking. |
Blind Date | Meeting new romantic interests | A date with someone your Zoi has not met before, allowing new romantic connections to form outside your existing social circle. |
Seven additional social event types were also added in v0.4.0, further expanding the range of group activities available to Zois. These events allow other Zois to visit your home, adding variety to daily routines beyond the original Party, Date, and Wedding options.
How to Plan a Group Activity
All organized group activities use the same planning system as other social events:
Press P to open the smartphone.
Open the Events app.
Find an open timeslot on your Zoi's schedule and click "Make Event."
Choose the event type (Fitness Club, Group Study, etc.).
Name the event, set duration, and choose a venue.
Invite guests (up to 10 attendees).
Set recommended and prohibited actions to guide the group's behavior.
Confirm the event.
For Fitness Club events, setting "Work Out" and "Exercise" as recommended actions ensures participants focus on fitness rather than socializing. For Group Study sessions, recommending "Read a Book" or study-related activities keeps the group productive.
Fitness Activities and Gym Locations
Fitness Club meetings work best when held at locations with exercise equipment. inZOI currently has outdoor gym facilities in both cities, though no dedicated indoor gyms exist yet.
Location | City | Equipment |
|---|---|---|
Bliss Bay Muscle Beach | Squat racks, barbell bench presses, pull-down machines, free weights. Located near the Beach Volleyball Court. | |
Harang River Park | Air Swing, Cross Country machine, dumbbells, yoga mats. Located near the fishing area along the river. | |
Apartment gyms | Some apartment complexes have fitness equipment on the lowest level, including weight lifting machines. |
Beyond gym equipment, Zois can also engage in group fitness through other activities:
Beach volleyball at the Beach Volleyball Court in Bliss Bay. Interact with the volleyball net to join a game.
Surfing near the pier in Bliss Bay. Practice on land first, then surf on the water once your Zoi's Fitness is high enough.
Yoga using yoga mats, available at outdoor gyms or purchasable through Build Mode.
Swimming at beaches and pools, which develops the Swimming skill.
You can also customize public fitness areas by entering Build Mode at any location marked as editable. Navigate to Furniture > Hobby > Fitness to add treadmills, weight machines, and other equipment to any public lot.
Study Groups and Skill Development
Group Study events provide a structured way for Zois to develop intellectual skills together. While studying alone at home works perfectly well, Group Study sessions add a social dimension to learning and can satisfy both the Fun and Social needs simultaneously.
Skills that benefit from study group activities include:
Skill | Study Method |
|---|---|
Reading logic books, solving puzzles, studying for certifications. | |
Practicing conversations, debating, giving advice to other Zois. | |
Reading speech-related books, practicing social interactions. | |
Coding on a computer or laptop with other tech-minded Zois nearby. |
Hosting a Group Study at home requires having bookshelves, computers, or other study-relevant furniture placed in your lot. Libraries and university buildings can also serve as natural venues for study sessions.
Social Gatherings and Parties
Beyond the structured club-style events, the standard Party event type remains the most versatile social gathering option. Parties can be themed for any purpose by adjusting the recommended and prohibited actions:
Theme | Recommended Actions | Good Venue |
|---|---|---|
Game Night | Play video games, play chess | Living room with gaming setup |
Dance Party | Dance, enjoy music | Room with jukebox and dance floor |
Dinner Party | Cook meals, eat together | Kitchen and dining area |
Karaoke Night | Sing, play instruments | Coin Booth Karaoke or home with microphone |
Art Gathering | Paint, appreciate artwork | Room with easels and art supplies |
Parties support up to ten guests and always end with a group photo opportunity where all attendees gather for a commemorative snapshot.
Community Venues for Group Activities
Several community lots across both cities provide natural gathering spaces for organized groups:
Coin Booth Karaoke (Dowon) - karaoke rooms for group singing sessions at 5 Meow per person.
Bliss Bay Amusement Park - multiple entertainment options for large group outings.
Beach areas - volleyball courts, surfing spots, and outdoor gym equipment.
Parks - Harang River Park (Dowon) and public spaces in Bliss Bay for outdoor meetups.
PC cafes - gaming venues where Zois can play video games together.
Restaurants and cafes - dining venues for social meals, especially those run as player-owned businesses.
Planned Features: Recurring Clubs and Hobby Groups
The official 2026 roadmap, published by director Kjun in December 2025, confirms plans to expand the club and social group system significantly:
Recurring weekly events - social events will be able to repeat on a weekly basis, functioning as formal clubs and hobby groups. This means Fitness Club meetings, study groups, and other gatherings can be scheduled as regular recurring activities rather than one-off events.
Reputation system - a new reputation system based on local communities will track how Zois are perceived by their neighbors. Participating in clubs and group activities is expected to influence community standing.
Crowd-based group activities - support for organized group activities in public contexts such as sports venues, beaches, and schools, allowing larger-scale social interactions.
High school campus - new property types including high school campuses, which will serve as natural venues for student clubs and study groups.
These features are planned for Q1 2026. As with all roadmap items, the developers have noted that timelines are subject to change and some features may shift to later quarters.
