School is a core part of life for younger Zois in inZOI. Children, Adolescents, and teenagers attend school daily, where they develop Skills, form Relationships, and prepare for adulthood. The school system operates as a rabbit hole, with Zois disappearing into the school building during school hours and returning home afterward with homework assignments to complete.
Education Stages
Stage | School Level | Life Stage Duration |
|---|---|---|
Elementary School | Children | 7 in-game days |
Middle School | Adolescents | 6 in-game days |
High School | Teenagers | 4.5 in-game days |
After completing High School, Zois age up to Young Adult and can optionally attend University. University is not mandatory but provides additional skill development and social opportunities.
The School Day
School follows a structured daily schedule:
Zois automatically travel to school at the designated time each morning
During school hours, Zois are inside the school building (rabbit hole mechanic)
Players can select skill-boosting actions for their Zois during school hours
After school ends, Zois return home automatically
While at school, players can influence which Skills their young Zois focus on by selecting from available school activities. This provides some control over development even during the rabbit hole period.
Homework System
After each school day, young Zois receive 2 mandatory homework assignments. Key details about homework:
Each assignment has a time limit of approximately 3 to 4 in-game hours
Homework must be completed before the next school day
Completing homework on time contributes to positive school performance
Neglecting homework can affect the Zoi's school standing and mood
Skill Development
School is an important period for skill development. Young Zois have access to four child-specific skills:
Child Skill | Activities | Adult Equivalent |
|---|---|---|
Creativity | Instruments, gaming, doodling, painting | Art, Instrument, Media Production |
Motor Development | Workouts, yoga, ball play | Fitness |
Responsibility | Cleaning, journaling, organizing | Housework, Critical Thinking |
Social | Communication, friendship activities | Charm, Rhetoric |
Child skills max out at level 5. When a Zoi ages up to Young Adult, the associated adult skills automatically start at level 5, providing a significant head start. This makes childhood skill development particularly valuable for long-term character progression.
After-School Activities
Outside of school hours and homework time, young Zois can participate in various activities to develop their skills further:
Practice instruments for Creativity and future Instrument Skill
Exercise and play for Motor Development and future Fitness Skill
Socialize with friends and family for Social skill development
Draw and paint for artistic development
Complete puzzles and reading for Responsibility growth
