Fitness is one of the core skills in inZOI that measures a Zoi's stamina and physical prowess. It becomes available starting from the Teenager life stage and can be leveled from 1 to 10. Higher Fitness levels improve overall health, unlock new conversations and social interactions, and visibly increase the Zoi's muscle definition over time. Fitness is closely tied to the Motor Development child skill, which provides a head start when a child ages into their teen years.
Activities That Level Up Fitness
The following activities contribute experience toward leveling up the Fitness skill. Working out at gyms or using home equipment is the most efficient path, but several recreational activities also contribute:

Equipment ranges from 5 Meow for a basic yoga mat up to 4,100 Meow for a treadmill. Players on a tight budget should start with the yoga mat and hula hoop, then upgrade to heavier equipment as their income grows.
Gym Locations
There are no dedicated indoor gym buildings in inZOI as of v0.6.1. Instead, the two main cities offer outdoor fitness areas:

The Bliss Bay Muscle Beach area is the most popular outdoor gym, while Dowon's Harang River Park offers a scenic riverside workout spot. Players who prefer working out at home can purchase any equipment through Build Mode and place it on their lot.
Surfing
Once a Zoi reaches Fitness Level 3, they unlock the ability to go surfing at Bliss Bay. Surfing is both a Fitness activity and a recreational option that provides the Fun need boost. Zois travel to the beach, grab a surfboard, and paddle out into the water. Surfing performance improves with higher Fitness levels, and it provides a moderate amount of Fitness XP per session.
Surfing is only available at Bliss Bay. Dowon does not have ocean access for this activity. If a Zoi lives in Dowon, they must travel to Bliss Bay to surf.

Fitness Master Ambition
The Fitness Master Ambition is a multi-tier goal that rewards Zois who commit to physical excellence:

The Level 3 requirement is notably difficult because the Zoi must be in a specific emotional state (Concentrated or Focused) during each qualifying workout. Drinking coffee or completing intellectual tasks before exercising can help trigger these moods.
Motor Development Connection
Children (ages 7 in-game days) have access to the Motor Development skill, which serves as a precursor to Fitness. Motor Development maxes out at Level 5 and can be leveled through the following activities:

When a child with Motor Development at Level 5 ages into a Teenager, they receive the Motor Development Aptitude bonus, which automatically sets their Fitness skill to Level 5. This gives them a significant head start compared to Teenagers who start Fitness from Level 1.
Body Appearance
One of the most visible effects of the Fitness skill is its impact on the Zoi's physical appearance. As Fitness increases, the Zoi's muscle definition becomes noticeably more pronounced. At Level 1, a Zoi has a standard body shape. By Level 10, the Zoi displays visibly defined arms, legs, and torso musculature. This visual change is gradual and purely cosmetic; it does not affect gameplay mechanics beyond the skill's direct benefits.
Need Management
Fitness training depletes the Energy and Hunger needs rapidly. After an intense workout session, a Zoi will typically need to eat a full meal and rest. Showering after the gym is also recommended, as workouts reduce the Hygiene need. Players should plan their Zoi's daily schedule to allow for post-workout recovery time, especially if combining Fitness training with a demanding career.
Tips
Start with free activities like jogging and using the outdoor gym equipment at Muscle Beach or Harang River Park to build early Fitness levels without spending Meow.
Invest in a home gym once you can afford it. A yoga mat (5M) and dumbbells (24M) are the most cost-effective starting pieces.
Prioritize Motor Development for children if you want them to start their teen years at Fitness Level 5. The basketball hoop and soccer goal are fun activities that level Motor Development while also boosting the Fun need.
For the Fitness Master Ambition Level 3, trigger the Focused mood by reading a book or drinking coffee before heading to the gym. Each workout done in this state counts toward the 20-workout requirement.
Combine Fitness training with social activities. Working out near other Zois at public gyms can also fulfill the Social need.
Pack meals or snacks before long workout sessions. The Hunger bar drops significantly during exercise, and a hungry Zoi will stop working out to find food.
