Overview
Crafting in inZOI encompasses several creation systems. The Handiwork skill covers crafting tools and jewelry at a Crafting Table using mined materials. The Housework skill handles furniture crafting at a Furniture Workbench. The 3D Printer converts images into in-game objects. Each system uses different stations, materials, and skills. Crafted items can be used at home, gifted, or sold on the Pocket Market for Meow.
Handiwork Crafting
The Handiwork skill (levels 1-10) is the primary crafting skill. It uses a Crafting Table purchased through Build Mode. At the Crafting Table, a Zoi can craft tools, refine raw gemstones into polished jewels, and create jewelry. Available from Teenager through Senior life stages.
Craftable Tools
Tools are the main output of Handiwork crafting. Each tool type comes in material tiers that unlock as the skill increases:

Mining
Raw materials for crafting come from Mining Spots scattered across the game's cities. Mining requires a pickaxe. Interact with a Mining Spot and select "Mine with Tools" to extract materials.

Pickaxes can be purchased from the Farm Store in Cahaya or crafted at a Crafting Table. Stone Pickaxes are the cheapest option for beginners. Better pickaxes improve mining effectiveness.
Gem Cutting
Raw gemstones mined from Mining Spots can be refined at the Crafting Table using gem cutting techniques that unlock at higher Handiwork levels. Each cut style applies a fixed value multiplier to the gem's base worth:

Higher-value raw gems benefit more from premium cuts. Low-value gems may not justify the effort of cutting since the percentage increase on a small base value is minimal.
Selling Crafted Items
Crafted tools and refined gems can be sold through the Pocket Market app on the Smartphone. Profit margins vary by item tier:

Pickaxes offer better profit margins than fishing rods. The Gold Pickaxe is the optimal item for a buy-materials-then-craft-and-sell strategy. Items crafted at higher skill levels and with better materials sell for more.
Furniture Crafting (Housework)
Furniture crafting is handled by the Housework skill at a Furniture Workbench, which is separate from the Handiwork Crafting Table. The Housework skill also covers cleaning, laundry, repairing broken items, and refurbishing furniture. Crafted furniture can be placed in the home or sold.
3D Printer
The 3D Printer is a separate crafting system available in the base game. It converts 2D images into 3D objects that can be placed in the game world. Players upload or create a design, and the printer generates a physical item. This works for custom clothing, accessories, and small decorative objects. Combined with AI Texture generation, the 3D Printer enables highly personalized content creation.

Collection Log
All mined materials and crafted items are automatically recorded in the Family Collection Log (accessible via the book icon on the right side of the screen). Completing collection sets unlocks exclusive rewards including special furniture.
Crime Connection
The Handiwork skill affects success rates for Crime activities in the Thief path. Picking locks, cracking safes, and hacking ATMs all factor in the Zoi's Handiwork level alongside Programming and Fitness.
Tips
Start mining with a Stone Pickaxe from the Cahaya Farm Store. Craft better pickaxes as your Handiwork skill increases.
Gold Pickaxes offer the best profit margin (+831 Meow) when selling on the Pocket Market.
Gem cutting becomes worthwhile at higher Handiwork levels. The Kitty Paw and Noble cuts at Level 10 add 50% to gem value.
Don't confuse Handiwork (tools/jewelry at Crafting Table) with Housework (furniture at Furniture Workbench). They are separate skills.
Level the Collecting skill alongside Handiwork to improve material gathering from mining spots.
Check the Family Collection Log regularly. Completing sets unlocks exclusive furniture rewards.
