Fortune reading is a spiritual and fortune-telling activity in inZOI that allows Zois to study tarot interpretations, consult crystal balls, receive horoscope readings, and explore divination practices. Fortune reading activities fulfill Urges, earn Karma, and grant Mew Coins as rewards. Access to most fortune reading activities requires the Traditionalist Value to reach at least 60 points out of 100.

How to Set Up Fortune Reading at Home
Zois can practice fortune reading in their own homes by purchasing tarot cards from Build Mode:
Open Build Mode and search for "Tarot Cards" in the catalogue. The set costs M30.
Place the tarot card set on a table in your home.
Place a chair in front of the table. The chair must snap to the table position in Build Mode for the interaction to work correctly.
Exit Build Mode. Click on the tarot cards and select "Study Tarot Interpretations" (only visible if Traditionalist Value is 60+).
The home setup is the most convenient option for regular fortune reading because it requires no travel and is available at any time of day. The M30 purchase price makes it one of the cheapest interactive objects in the game.

Two public locations in inZOI offer fortune reading and related spiritual activities:
Tarot Fortune Cafe
The Tarot Fortune Cafe is located in northwest Dowon and operates from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily. It is the most comprehensive fortune reading venue in the game.

The cafe also provides practical amenities including a water purifier for hydration, a beverage and dessert kiosk for food and drinks, and restrooms. NPC Juhee Hwang is a regular patron of the Tarot Fortune Cafe and can frequently be found there during business hours.
Oracle Fortune Teller
The Oracle Fortune Teller is located in the center of Bliss Bay. This location offers oracle readings, which differ from tarot readings in their presentation and animation but serve a similar gameplay function. The Oracle Fortune Teller provides a more mystical atmosphere compared to the cafe setting of the Tarot Fortune Cafe.
The Urge System and Fortune Reading
Fortune reading is connected to the Urge system in inZOI. When a Zoi's Traditionalist Value is at 60 or higher, the urge "Wants to Study Tarot Interpretations" can appear randomly in their urge queue.
Trigger: The urge appears spontaneously for Zois meeting the 60+ Traditionalist Value threshold. It cannot be manually triggered by the player.
Time limit: Like all urges, the tarot urge has a limited window for completion. If the Zoi does not study tarot before the timer expires, the urge fails and disappears.
Rewards: Completing the urge by studying tarot interpretations (either at home or at a public location) grants both Karma points and Mew Coins. The exact amounts vary.
Frequency: The urge can reappear multiple times. Higher Traditionalist Values may increase the frequency, though the exact scaling is not confirmed.

Connection to Values
The Traditionalist value is one of 10 values that define a Zoi's personality and behavior in inZOI. Each value is measured on a scale from 0 to 100. The Traditionalist value represents a Zoi's respect for heritage, cultural holidays, duty, and traditional practices.
When any value exceeds the 60-point threshold, unique interactions and conversation options become available to that Zoi. For the Traditionalist value specifically, reaching 60 unlocks fortune reading activities, temple-related interactions, and certain cultural celebration events.
Ways to increase the Traditionalist value:
Participating in cultural activities and traditional events
Visiting religious and cultural landmarks (such as temples)
Engaging in heritage-related conversations with other Zois
Choosing traditional options when prompted during in-game events
Reading books on tradition, history, and cultural practices
The Traditionalist value can also decrease if a Zoi consistently chooses modern or non-traditional options. Values in inZOI are dynamic and shift based on a Zoi's ongoing behavior and choices. Other values interact with fortune reading indirectly; for example, a Zoi with high Spiritual values may gain Traditionalist points faster from temple visits. Fortune Reading and Emotions
Fortune reading activities are gated by emotional state. Zois in negative moods (sad, angry, uncomfortable, tense) cannot access the "Study Tarot Interpretations" interaction. The option simply does not appear in the menu when the Zoi's emotional state is negative.
Successful fortune reading sessions provide a positive mood boost, which can help stabilize emotional states for the rest of the in-game day. This creates a positive feedback loop: fortune reading requires a good mood, and completing a session helps maintain that good mood.
Tips
The M30 tarot card set for home use is one of the best value purchases in the game. It provides a repeatable activity that earns Karma and Mew Coins every time the urge appears.
If your Zoi's Traditionalist Value is below 60, focus on visiting cultural landmarks and participating in traditional events to raise it. Temple visits are particularly effective.
Keep your Zoi in a positive emotional state before attempting fortune reading. Fulfill basic needs (hunger, sleep, hygiene, fun) first to avoid being blocked by the mood requirement.
The Tarot Fortune Cafe closes at 10:00 PM. Plan your visits during daytime hours. For late-night fortune reading, use the home tarot card setup instead.
