Television and Media
Television is one of the primary entertainment options in inZOI. Zois can watch various TV channels to satisfy their Fun need, passively develop skills, and influence their emotional state. TVs are furniture items purchased through Build Mode and placed in any room, typically the living room. Beyond traditional television, Zois can also play video games at home and visit public entertainment venues like PC cafes.
TV Furniture
Television sets are found under the Living Room section of the Build Mode furniture catalog. inZOI features both generic TV models and real-world branded TV models from LG and innovative concept display products from Samsung Display, added through official partnerships with KRAFTON.

Generic TVs
Standard TV models function fully within the game. Clicking on a generic TV opens the interaction menu where you can select channels and watching modes. These are the most reliable option for regular TV viewing and skill building.
LG Partnership
Through a collaboration between LG Electronics and KRAFTON announced at launch in March 2025, several premium LG TV models are available as in-game furniture:
Model | Description |
|---|---|
LG OLED evo 97-inch G5 | Massive wall-mounted or stand-mounted display. |
LG OLED Flex | Flexible display that can be curved or flat. |
LG StanbyME | Portable touchscreen display on a stand. |
LG StanbyME Go | Portable briefcase-style screen. |
LG OLED Objet Collection Pose | Designer TV styled to blend with furniture. |
As of Early Access, LG-branded TVs have limited in-game functionality. They primarily display the LG logo or a brand introduction screen rather than standard TV channels. Generic TVs are recommended for actual viewing and skill development. This limitation may be addressed in future updates.
Samsung Display Products
Samsung Display partnered with KRAFTON in July 2025 to bring 13 types of innovative display products into the game. These include concept devices such as multi-foldable screens (Flex S, Flex G), rollable displays (Rollable Flex), slidable screens (Slidable Flex Duet), OLED headphones, and smart speakers. Like the LG products, some of these function more as decorative brand showcases than fully interactive entertainment devices.
TV Channels and Content
To watch TV, click on a generic television and select Watch Entertainment. This opens a menu with several channel categories. The available channels include:
Channel | Content | Skill Benefit |
|---|---|---|
Cooking Channel | Culinary shows demonstrating recipes and techniques. | Increases Cooking skill passively. |
TV Drama | Dramatic series and story-driven content. | Satisfies Fun need. May trigger Amused emotion. |
Entertainment Programs | Variety shows and general entertainment. | Increases Performance skill passively. |
Educational Channel | Informational and educational content. | Can trigger the Concentrated emotion. |
TV programming in Early Access consists of slideshow-style visuals accompanied by music that loops on a roughly ten-second cycle. The visual quality and variety of content are expected to improve as development continues. Community modders have already created custom TV show mods available through sites like Nexus Mods, which replace the default slideshow content with custom videos and images.
TV Watching Mechanics
When a Zoi watches TV, several things happen simultaneously:
Fun need increases over time, making TV an easy way to keep your Zoi entertained at home.
Skill development occurs passively depending on the channel selected. The Cooking Channel builds Cooking skill, while Entertainment Programs build Performance skill.
Emotional influence can shift your Zoi's mood. Watching entertaining content triggers the Amused emotion, which in turn boosts Performance skill gains. The Educational Channel can trigger the Concentrated emotion, which speeds up Fitness and Critical Thinking skill development.
Zois can watch TV for extended periods, and some players use this as a strategy to passively level skills overnight. For example, leaving a Zoi watching the Cooking Channel for a full in-game day provides steady skill experience without spending Meow on ingredients. However, watching TV does not satisfy other needs like Hunger or Hygiene, so you still need to manage those separately.
Social Viewing
Multiple Zois in the same household can watch TV together, and doing so counts toward their Social need to a limited degree. However, there is a current limitation where Zois cannot carry on conversations while watching TV. They will sit and watch silently, so TV is better for Fun than for meaningful social interaction.
Skill Development Through TV
TV watching is one of several passive skill-building methods in inZOI. While slower than active practice, it allows Zois to gain experience without the costs or setup associated with hands-on activities.
Channel | Skill Improved | Comparison to Active Methods |
|---|---|---|
Cooking Channel | Slower than cooking meals, but costs nothing. Good for early skill levels or when funds are low. | |
Entertainment Programs | Slower than singing with a microphone or karaoke, but requires no equipment purchase. | |
Educational Channel | No direct skill increase | Triggers Concentrated emotion, which speeds up Fitness and Critical Thinking if those activities follow. |
For the Cooking skill specifically, watching culinary shows is a popular strategy because it avoids the cost of purchasing ingredients. Your Zoi learns the basics of cooking techniques by watching, though preparing actual meals remains the primary method for advancing beyond the early levels.
Video Gaming
Zois can play video games on their home computers as a leisure activity. Gaming satisfies the Fun need and is one of the available hobby activities that Zois may autonomously choose during free time. Playing video games is also an available activity during social events, listed under the Hobbies and Leisure category in the event planner.
The game also features PC cafes as public venues, reflecting Korean culture and lifestyle. Zois can visit a PC cafe and spend time playing games there, similar to visiting other community lots. Claw machine arcades are another entertainment venue where Zois can try their luck at winning prizes.
Entertainment and Emotions
All forms of media consumption influence your Zoi's emotional state. The primary emotion triggered by entertainment is Amused, which has practical gameplay benefits:
Emotion | Trigger | Effect |
|---|---|---|
Amused | Watching entertaining TV, playing games, receiving gifts | Quickly improves Performance skill. |
Concentrated | Watching educational TV | Quickly improves Fitness and Critical Thinking skills. |
Bored | Doing repetitive or unstimulating activities | Hinders Critical Thinking skill development. Switch to entertainment to clear this. |
Managing emotions through strategic media consumption is a useful technique. If you need your Zoi to focus on studying or fitness, having them watch the Educational Channel first to trigger the Concentrated emotion can provide a head start on those activities.
Needs Satisfied by Entertainment
Entertainment activities contribute to several needs:
Activity | Fun | Social | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
Watching TV alone | Yes | No | Efficient for Fun. Can passively build skills. |
Watching TV together | Yes | Partial | Some Social benefit, but Zois cannot converse while watching. |
Playing video games | Yes | No | Satisfies Fun. Available at home or PC cafes. |
Listening to music | Yes | No | Through stereo, speakers, or personal action. |
Dancing to music | Yes | Yes | Social activity when dancing with others. |
Current Limitations
As of Early Access, television and media features have several known limitations:
TV content quality - channels display looping slideshow images rather than animated shows or video content.
Branded TV restrictions - LG and Samsung branded TVs have limited or no standard viewing functionality, serving primarily as decorative items.
No conversation while watching - Zois sit silently together when watching TV and cannot socialize at the same time.
Limited channel variety - only a handful of channels are available. More programming options are expected in future updates.
No video streaming or custom content - there is no in-game streaming service or ability to upload custom videos to TVs without mods.
The modding community has begun addressing some of these gaps, with Nexus Mods hosting custom TV show mods that replace the default slideshow content. Official improvements to the television system are anticipated as the game progresses through Early Access toward its full release.
