Overview
Stone is a basic mineral gatherable in Crimson Desert. It has a rough gray surface that is sturdy and resistant to weathering, making it a practical building material. Stone is one of the most commonly found minerals across Pywel and can be collected without specialized tools in many cases. It serves as the foundation for basic construction projects at the Greymane Camp and is used to build simple defensive structures.

Where to Find
Stone deposits are found throughout Pywel, particularly in areas with exposed rock formations. Unlike ores that require a pickaxe and appear on cliff faces, stone can often be collected from loose rocks scattered on the ground.
Near bodies of water: Riverbeds and lakeshores across Hernand and Demeniss are lined with collectible stone deposits. The banks of rivers flowing through these regions provide a steady supply.
Desert areas: The arid regions of the Crimson Desert interior are rich in exposed rock. Stone deposits are scattered across the sandy terrain, especially near rock outcroppings and canyon walls.
Quarries and construction sites: Settlements and quarry areas that have been established for mining often have leftover stone piles nearby.
Stone respawns at its gathering points after a period of time, so you can return to the same locations to collect more.
Uses
Stone is primarily a construction material rather than a combat crafting resource. Its main applications are at the Greymane Camp:
Basic construction: Stone is required for building and upgrading basic camp structures such as walls, floors, and storage facilities.
Simple defensive structures: Barricades and watch posts at the camp use stone as a core material.
Vendor sale: Stone can be sold to vendors for a small amount of copper coins, though it is worth more as a building resource.
Stone is not used at the blacksmith for weapon or armor refinement. For equipment upgrades, you will need ores such as Iron Ore or Copper Ore instead.
Tips
Collect stone whenever you pass by riverbeds early in the game. Camp construction requires a fair amount of it, and having a stockpile saves time later.
Stone is heavier than many other gatherables. Keep an eye on your inventory weight if you are carrying large quantities while exploring.
Fine Stone is a higher-quality variant used for decorative and structural buildings. If your camp upgrades call for Fine Stone, regular Stone will not substitute.
Vendors sell stone in limited quantities if you prefer to buy rather than gather, but the price is usually not worth it given how common stone is in the wild.
